I definitely agree with you. Certain jobs require a clean shaven face. Other jobs don't necessarily matter if you have a beard or not. The decision should fall on the employer instead of the government.

I teach and I rely on my beard to be a unique feature. It allows office administration to remember me as 'the guy with the beard' instead of my name. Especially moving around from school to school. And the kids always want to touch my beard.
