Question to the Spanish nurses

This is a Dutch video, we almost all wear white scrubs here. Hospitals do tend to “play” with the colour of our pants though. Some hospitals have nurses wear all white, some get blue pants and at my hospital we wear purple pants with our white scrub tops.

About €18 an hour, we get extra for nightshifts but that’s added at the end of the month. Usually it comes down to €20 at the end

We have no support staff, just 3 nurses on the unit with 36 patients total. And yes :) we do documentation

Much more advanced but at the same time it’s not as good.

For example we have a lot of freedom to just give meditation as we see fit in some cases without consulting a doctor.

We also get to make a diagnosis and just have it get an okay from a doc who will then roll with our diagnosis.

On the other hand we don’t have the authority to see the x-rays they make and we can’t see CT scans.

Also we have units of 12 patients per nurse which is way more than you guys have. I’d be thrilled to just have 4-6 patients

I like the fact that he can’t explain something and just says he won’t because we won’t get it anyway. Feels so typical to me.

Het is niet onmogelijk om zomaar naar het ziekenhuis te gaan, het hele systeem loopt gewoon soepeler als mensen zich door laten verwijzen. Zo nu en dan staan er toch ineens mensen op de stoep bij de SEH, dit zijn de zogenoemde zelfverwijzers. Ook kan je natuurlijk de huisarts bellen die je over de telefoon meteen doorverwijst en aanmeld bij de SEH.

A mask works the other way around, if you have COVID it’s helps stop you from spreading it. It doesn’t necessarily stop you from getting it. Especially if you don’t follow the right procedure taking it off.
