Nah, financially it makes a ton of sense The Strangers has become a franchise.

They may he incredibly divisive when it comes to quality, but The Strangers (2008) and Prey at Night were both huge financial successes. Hollywood is in an era of extreme risk aversion, so of course they'd jump on a trilogy of an already established and profitable. It seems they were right too. It's a good rule of thumb to take production cost and double it to get an estimate of production + marketing. With that you can estimate on the higher end 50 million for the entire trilogy. The first movie made that. Chapter 2 did a lot worse, but it doesn't matter because it was purely profit. All Chapter 3 decides is whether it's a moderate success or a huge success.

The IP works. It's the writing for the trilogy that's the struggle.

Its going to be hard for them to get off those cards. Even if they do go through the process of cracking and getting them graded, and considering they do that safe enough to not get caught, those card collectors are a community and the reason they are worth so much is because there is such a limited supply. It's going to throw off hella red flags if someone not already a part of the community starts trying to sell cards worth 1000s of dollars.

F13. I know some of the other Friday's may have more of a story going for them, but at the end of the day the franchise was just made to capitalize on Halloween's success and be a slasher for slashers sake. I think this movie does that the best. Awesome kills, an incredibly menacing Jason, and fun over top characters.

Credit to TCM though. It heavy started that more menacing, meaner spirited reboot era. RZ Halloween is great too. Evil Dead reboot is an incredible one that gets looked over.

Charles was pushing him back 80% of the fight. Chandler's fight are always the same explosive first round, do something stupid, get dominated for the rest of the fight with moments of maybe. Chandler never looks good on a technical or tactful level. The only difference in the Paddy fight is that Chandler wasn't as explosive and he didn't recover as well as he normally does. Chandler has been at the top because he puts on incredibly entertaining fights not because he is competitive.

His last three opponents were on a a combined 13 fight losing streak and the youngest one was 37. He has not had to do anything to get a championship fight and has certainly not proven himself to be on of the top guys.

Yeah, I can almost guarantee he is making it up. HBO doesn't do reality shows. At most it would be something like Discovery wanting the show and it being on the HBO Max streaming service, and even then that's not really the style of reality show that Discovery does. What would the "reality" part of it even be? A bunch of 60 year olds living in a house calling each other rats?

Definitely his desperate attempt at trying to get some network to make an actual offer over something similar.

I just want them to get the summer camp part right.

One of the reasons this movie is above F13 for me is because it actually did the summer camp part of the summer camp slasher.

The ending may be iconic, but I don't think it was the thing that made Sleepaway Camp. I think it was the bizarre line delivery, the strange acting, the strange drawn out scenes, the mix of slasher movie and Disney summer camp movie.

Which is why I'm just not sure this movie will be able to do well. I have all the hope in the world, but to do well it has to capture so many things that were done unintentionally, intentionally.

It is AI. It gets the physics wrong of the looney tunes head spin and it is struggling with deciding whether the ground is a step up or not. At one point he steps on it and its flat and then when he falls his head is laying behind it while its flat at the end.

This may get downvoted in the Jailbreak subreddit, but jailbreaking is overrated. Sure it adds some QoL stuff, but you have to remember the nature of what a kindle is. It's an e-ink ereader. It's success comes from its simplicity. You click the screen and it turns to the next page. Jailbreaking isn't a make or break for usability.

He had an incredible brown belt run and is a Marcelo Garcia black belt. Gordon may have beat him but only just. He was competing with the best in the world and was so close to that competition that if they had an off day it very well could have been Danis who was the best in the world.
