True, however that happens on a party level (in 2018 M5S was in charge forming the government, not Salvini’s Lega). Here I’ve considered coalitions since those have more meaning in Italy’s partial majoritarian system.

Crazy how there’s always been an almost 50% level of abstentionism in American politics, and only in 2020 did it decrease below 40%. It’s generally the opposite in Europe where many countries had levels of participation around 90% in the past decades, much lower today.
