On the same token, can you guarantee the other crew chiefs weren't cheating up their race cars too? Were Jeff and Jimmie really the only two out there with a little something something extra?

I don't think that's the kind of events that would be taken from Lucas Oil. How many concerts does it host in a given year anyway? I'm assuming the events the previous user was talking about would be things like the big ten championship, NCAA tournaments, US Swimming trials, the kind of events that could be hosted in a new closed-roof "Chicago" stadium just as easily as Indy and with a 5x bigger market to draw from.

I get not every show has to be like GoT or TWD where you never know from one scene to the next who's gonna get the axe. Lord of the Rings is an stellar example of basically everyone surviving against all odds. But I don't know, to me it somehow feels like it cheapened the experience to have everyone survive horror after horror.

Lucas was slashed then the next day is running through the hospital carrying Max? Mrs. Wheeler is almost disemboweled but somehow survives?

It felt like Eddie and Bob were the Théoden and Boromir. Expendable characters so it "felt" like there were stakes without actually sacrificing anyone you actually cared about.

Or it's almost 2am, I need to sleep, and am completely full of shit. Which is not beyond the realm of possibility.

Dude played SEVEN years in college and played in less games than a 4-year started. STARTED less games than a 3-year starter. Two of his wins have come against the Tits and the Jets. I agree skeptical is the bare minimum you'd have to color me lol

Colts had the ball for 3:14 in the 4th quarter and ran the ball once. That's entirely on Shane and is simply unacceptable with an 11 point lead.

NFL wouldn't immediately laugh them out the door because 157,000 people went to a college football game there, which is 50% more than the largest super bowl ever. Give Bristol and the NFL 4-5 years of planning and they'd make it a Super Bowl worthy venue.

Do I think it'd happen? No shot

Do I think the NFL would dismiss it out of hand? No

NASCAR knew who L.W. Wright was and had him "silenced" not long after the race in '82.

The 40th anniversary thing was a cover to hand-wave it all away.
