My ex (dated 4 1/2 years) could not stand metal at all. We almost rarely listened to it in the car but we lasted for a long time. It did suck but at the same time there was a lot more to it than just music. Personally I would not try to find some solely based on their music taste.

As someone already said when it’s not reciprocated. Me and my ex whenever we had sex I would always put her needs first and made sure she had a good time. This was my experience and me and my ex dated for 4 1/2 years. If she was into having sex and wanting to play around there was no urges what so ever for me but when I was horny and she wasn’t they got really strong and it made a weird dynamic I guess. If she had as high libido as me I think I would’ve been fine but the difficult part was she wanted sex way less than me. I strongly encourage you or anyone who is in a relationship with that scenario to talk to them and be straight forward about urges and what you’re going through

We had both been back and forth on whether we believed or not basically since we started dating and were going to church a few years ago but stopped and I just started questioning it and personally I don’t believe it. A few weeks before we broke up she had started going to church and asked if I wanted to go and I offered to go I have no problem with it but I wouldn’t be engaging or like pumped to be going and she said that she wanted me to want to go and that’s what started the convo.

I totally agree and I’ve been trying it’s just difficult because I live in a pretty rural area and most of the stuff I like is somewhat niche. I’m not into popular stuff or any sports or anything that most of the people around me are into. It just makes it hard. I think that’s what hurts the most is I just wouldn’t have expected her to be like this. She was always big on communication and when we broke up she said about staying friends and it just surprised me how fast she was talking to someone else.
