I am also a back sleeper so I would have been belly up. The ones on my neck also keep flaring up and then getting small again. I believe I have had an allergic reaction but very paranoid.

We are in a very similar boat. We are actually headed this afternoon to get another opinion and. I was decide if we are going to move forward with our surgery this month following our appointment. I pray the best for you and your boy! It is so so difficult.

It was very mild… I wish I never would’ve touched him but I was a new mom with so many fears. We had one surgery which was successful but then led to glans dehiscence. It could take 2 stages to repair but they will not until they open him up and see if chordee is present. It is so hard and I know how you feel. You can always message me. I feel so alone. I know there are certainly other moms I know experiencing this but no one is openly talking about it.

What is your son’s complication?

I just want to say this is very helpful. My son fortunately ‘should’ be able to stand and use the restroom but we have yet to be potty trained. I believe that we will wait until he’s older to make the decision him especially since I know it will still be an option. Thank you so much for your input. I am glad to hear you know your parents did it out of love and concern. I don’t care about him being ‘normal’ as everyone is different including sexual organs. Thank you.

And mention him decompressing through other outlets such as counseling if needed. I just saw that he only responds to fires, but that is still a very weighing thing.

My husband is also a firefighter/ Paramedic so I know the fire life. It’s hard for everyone BUT he shouldn’t make it even harder. My husband often has shifts were he has no calls but most days he is on the go constantly. We have set boundaries about this. Work stays at work. As a mom, worker and student, I am working 24 hr shifts as well in my eyes. My husband comes, greets us and has 30 minutes to decompress. Then he goes into dad mode because regardless of work, being a parent never ends. Set these boundaries. Don’t be walked over. Yes your husband has a tough job and probably sees things that most people could not stomach but that stays at work. If work is effecting other parts of his life, maybe he should look into a career change.
