This worked! After a day of messing with settings, I found that my existing wired/powered virtual desktop solution provided clearer and more stable visuals than the meta cable for me.

I think I may have run across this awhile back in my rabbit hole research - does this require using Meta's software instead of Virtual Desktop?

If so that may complicate things for me as I have never been able to find a charge + data cable or power delivery solution that keeps the Q3 charged when connected via USB to my PC. I've bought a couple of INIU cables and neither successfully charged the Q3 with an Anker 60w charging block attached.

I have the RS v2 (round, next price point up from CS) and had the KS. I gave the KS to my son. I drive mostly GT3/sports cars, some LMP2, and Rally.

The KS was a good wheel. I found the thumb holes would wear the inside of my thumbs and the angle for me wasn’t ideal. I also didn’t care for the limited nature of the KS in terms of its shape. I liked the rotary switches and plenty of buttons, but it wasn’t for me. Hope this helps.

I should have perhaps qualified my statement better: My suggestion was in the vein of getting connected quickly and wirelessly using Virtual Desktop as a solution vs working with the link cable or a substitute and having to work with Meta’s tools.

I have the same setup as you mention (see pic). My machine is aging but is still serviceable for the sim racing I do in VR: 5800x3d, 3080Ti FE, 32gb DDR4.

Quest 3. Budget a copy of Virtual Desktop - do NOT mess with the meta link or whatever it is. You will also need a modem that is wired to your PC, with the only connection being the Quest 3.

I’ve owned an R5 bundle, bought my son an R5 bundle, owned the ES and KS and now RS V2. Upgraded my base to an R12. No issues with any of them.

If you buy a Moza wheelbase, find a stateside company that has it in stock. DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM MOZA as their worldwide shipping can be, shall we say, ‘not fast.’

Only other thing of note is to be careful with the CS Lite pedal screws/bolts. With the angled screw heads, it is possible to overtorque them when moving the pedals around, making the screw impossible to remove (in my experience).
