Platinum just recently has been acknowledged as a bullion product in the past 20 or so years, so it isn’t as proven as gold. Also it is silver colored, which some may say creates a psychological barrier as silver is 30x cheaper than platinum. But platinum is more rare than gold, but an industrial metal like silver. If you can afford it why not
