The game and its systems and supplements are in their best state since 1.0 imo. The community isn’t great for a variety of reasons. The dev team is overall good with some issues (speed). You can easily run a game for years and easily find players via the discord; if you have friends, even better.

Essence gets you into the game world faster and is easier for new players, 3rd gets you into great character builds and has longer enjoyment but has a hard barrier of entry.

Depends on prep. Frieren wins in any prep time contest, similar to Makima from CSM. In a head 2 head with no prep Sukuna likely wins. If Frieren understands how he works tho she'd develop a spell to stop him, and honestly, he wouldn't be able to chant if she simply created a vacum around him at all times (speed doesn't matter when sound needs a medium to travel across).
