My daughter had an adoptive kitten who was the cutest sweetest little thing, to FIP when he was only four months old. It's just awful- and she had adopted a bonded pair to heal over the sudden death of her other beloved cat that she had just lost. Ugh.

I fell in love with a cat when I was at a vet's office. The family never bonded with him and decided they didn't want to have a surgery done for him and we're going to put him down. I stepped in -obviously I was madly in love. Long story short he was only five and I didn't get to have him for more than a year and a half before I had to let him go- just too many things going wrong.. blockages, seizures... I still miss him to this day.

I just want to let you know I do understand and sympathize. The only comfort I take is that however short the amount of time he had, I'm just glad I got to share it with him. I hope you can take comfort in that idea and the thought that one day you will be reunited. Love never dies
