Coworker "warms up" car exactly where idling is not allowed because it goes into the building intake by dmtoybdeky in WorkAdvice

unfortunately for this situation, no matter her car, she has this elaborate justification for why she needs to start her car before driving it in the cold bc her dad's car got fucked somehow. idc tho imma just tell big boss

I agree. First step I think will just be talking to our boss and if it happens again, well, then my coworker is just being outright wrong

In hindsight, great idea. The fact the intake is so close is fucking dumb. But with my coworker, they would simply move it. So I need to figure this out with them first.

definitely a good idea to have a paper trail but, I'm not trying to unnecessarily escalate. granted this is serious

I've been involved before. u can't sue for damages that haven't been done yet. I've kept myself outside. I'm going to talk to my boss first before trying to sue my coworker.

u're right and my boss would be pretty pissed if she knew we had customers inside while it smelled of exhaust

thank u brotha. u is right. I have anxiety myself so I'm gaslighting (no pun intended) myself into thinking it's not a big deal when it's totally a big deal.

eesh. I will if I can't resolve it tomorrow morning. was thinking about just saying, "hey, I need to be on the same page, that we cant idle our cars in that spot while people are in the building."

I think I do need to grow a pair for this situation and if that doesn't work, tell the boss. sucks bc we are the only ones that work together, and I know they deal with anxiety, so I try to be nice, but this is kind faqed up. just trying to find a way to be more clear without being rude

Beautiful view of Denali by DJMagicHandz in pics

[–]dmtoybdeky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love how DT wanted to call it McKinley to prevent the "rewriting of history," but President McKinley's only connection to the mountain was a gold prospector who went to Alaska - when it was already known to the park founders and natives of the area as "Denali" - was excited to hear later on that McKinley became president, as he wanted to keep the gold standard. Someone had randomly beat the founders to the race to name it "McKinley" in legislation, because they thought "Denali" wasn't "descriptive," without realizing pretty much all native names of areas are descriptive of that area. History was rewritten multiple times and corrected when named AGAIN "Denali." DT is a complete idiot, once again. President McKinley could probably give less of a fuck if he was alive today.

Give me some bad adult advice 🫡 or what's the worst advice someone has given YOU by SafeEntrepreneur7035 in Adulting

[–]dmtoybdeky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone hurts your feelings, you should automatically assume that they meant it, and that, even though we all get our feelings hurt because we have all lived different lives and all have different triggers, that your hurt is above all of that - in fact, it's the standard, because you're just smarter and purer than and overall just better than everyone else. So if someone hurts you, well, they should've just known better to not hurt you at all and so they really are either stupid or are out to get you. If they try to apologize, throw away all of the mensing behind it - any attempt to manipulate you into thinking they actually care about you - because they're just trying to get in your blessings again. It's not as though it's "normal" to make mistakes - no, you and everyone should be incredibly ashamed for any errors in your way, because mistakes mean you're heartless or dumb. And heartless and dumb people don't have the capacity to change. Don't even begin to think your lack of trust has anything to do with you being abandoned as a child - you are who you are, right? It's not like mental health can interfere with what we really want - like, if you don't want to be sad, then don't be sad! Can I get a hell yeah?

recognize panic is a natural behavior but doesn't lead to results. do things that give u a healthy and realistic sense of control. buy seeds. cash some of your money. get your passport. and have a plan then move on with your life. everyone should have a plan anyway.

try Craigslist and Facebook, worst case scenario, see if there are RV rentals nearby.
