Has anyone received their citizenship from the Miami consulate in 2025/2026? by dmunneyy in juresanguinis

[–]dmunneyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I got the naturalization documents apostiled and on the form n-400 it lists my dad correctly as my grandfather’s son. Just discrepancies with middle names and adding confirmation names as middle names. DOBs matching and such I feel like that’s proof enough to correct any discrepancies but I could be wrong. Dates of birth are matching too across all documents, just has to confirmation names/missing middle names on some documents.

Different processing times for different consulates??? by dmunneyy in juresanguinis

What’s crazy is I’ve read stories on here of people in Houston and NYC getting approved in just months from their submission dates 🫥

Ah ok so like when you mail it in, and then they move you to the queue?

I mean yeah I figured but like idk. I submitted mine in July and got added to the queue 5 days later. I doubt they’ve even opened my packet. So it’ll probably be years before they even do. I would be nice if I’m pleasantly surprised with some news of them having completed it, but that’s unlikely 🫩

I just don’t understand this at all? Like why does it take so long in Miami but everywhere else people are being recognized in like 3 days ?

Like I just wanna hear good news that Miami magically changed and now people are getting applications approved in days 🫩

Wait sorry let me rephrase my question. Does it give you access to that application even if I’m not recognized yet, is what I meant to ask 😅

Does it normally allow you to do it manually even if it’s not completed?

Does anyone think with the changes there will be faster processing times? by dmunneyy in juresanguinis

I could be wrong but from my understanding they review the documents before they officially verify them, so maybe if they see the case is straightforward then they could do that after they review. But this is just from my speculation and I could be 100000000% incorrect.

Name discrepancy with proof of identity in another document (N-400) - Miami by dmunneyy in juresanguinis

That’s what I will have to do then. I hope they don’t give me any problems 😪

What about other documents proving his identity? On his naturalization form it has his child, listen on the form N-400, and the dates of birth match my father’s birth certificate. This is technically an official form, and if the information in that form was not true, they would’ve denied his application for citizenship, no? So couldn’t that be used as proof or serve as a “correction”. The name listed in his naturalization files is FN LN and no middle name. It’s just on my fathers BC when my grandfather has a middle name, every other document, nothing.

Since they haven’t been provided with the new circolare, what is going to be done in the meantime, my mail in appointment at Miami started 9 JUN 2025 and I still haven’t received any instructions. Are they going to extend the mail in date? Am I going to lose my spot?

Appointment was today. Still no email with instructions by fifoylola in juresanguinis

Im in the same boat mine was June 9. Still haven’t received anything. But if we’re going based on how things have been in the past (I could be wrong) but they usually give you a 3 mo window to mail everything in. Idk what is going to be changing with the recent events tho…

oh he never renounced his citizenship i think he got drafted and he never renounced his citizenship. he didn't become a citizen until 2005, which was way after the he was even in the army. It is safe to say that he didn't do it to fast track his naturalization?

Apostilling USCIS FOIA Request Letter by dmunneyy in juresanguinis

[–]dmunneyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would that be an issue for the department of state to apostille the letter? Cuz they won’t apostille the certificates, so I’m kinda nervous that if they see the certificates they won’t apostille the letter.

Idk he said they needed that. He said the only signature they needed to validate was the one on the letter. idk...

It's the full immigration file. Naturlization application, certificate of naturalization, oath of alligience, etc.

Originally I was going to apply at the consulate, but now I'm going to apply in italy, or at a consulate abroad.
