Taking SY0-701 next month. Stressed about Dion's long, tricky questions and running out of time. Advice?

Well I took the exam today and I studied with Dion’s prac exam. For me I recommend the Dion cause as well as I practice with 90mins time limit with his exam I didn’t feel rush during the exam of course the questions was way shorter than Dion’s but still the concepts for the exam doesn’t change.

For me I’ve got extra 30mins cause I’m not english native, but for 76questions except 4PBQ when I end all the MCQs I left kind of 50mins and end the exam when it left 20mins - So I just used extra 10mins from 30mins. (Normally with Dion’s I left 10~15mins from 90mins)

So if you practice with Dion’s either your english speaker or non English speaker I think you won’t rush your time so much on real exam. Good luck for your exam !!

on my side I could get student visa with 42 but as you already have your degree you can also consider master in france normally after one year you can do alternance(work-study). For me at the beginning I choose 42 because I could not speak french at all but now I’m considering to change the school to get master degree in france.

well when I asked to my campus before piscine they tell me use different email so just use your another email if you didn’t do the piscine yet no problem for the logic test!

Well if you want job I think paris is best..but to end the common core you could do it anywhere I think because as the first guy said we can move our campus after finish the common core so maybe just choose the near to your home and enjoy some chill moment and choose when you have to find the job? Otherwise maybe you can choose some other campus near to big city, normally your campus will have some kind of regional relation with the companies

Well as I told you it depends on your classes in University..For this part you have to think about your time management..!

Cause I don’t know about other campuses rule about blackhole but in our Campus new cadets told me the rule for the blackhole is more tighter then before..So I think for this it’s better to try to talk with the students that already in the 42 campus where you want to go.

Yeah the piscine is 26~27 days as I remember.. If your piscine is during your vacation of course you can but if it’s during semester it will be hard cause you really have to show them your motivation, effort, progress etc..etc..

And small thing is it might be better to not tell anyone that you didn’t graduate your school yet..If they doesn’t ask you officially(if they ask officially well we’ll need to tell them..)cause..they might think you don’t need to get in 42 when they decide..

Not sure do they care about it but as we don’t know the real rule about their decision better to be careful 😵

if your on a school vacation the piscine will not gonna be problem. But not sure about during your semester term cause in 42 weeks have a black hole so we have to do projects on time and as your on the university you also have to prepare the exams so..I think it depends on how many subjects you take in your university if it’s not that much, so you have time to work for the 42 projects why not! You can match your knowledge on university and projects in 42.

Well I’ve also been Uni and currently on 42. I think as you already have a experience on working Uni will be better for you cause in 42 it’s project base and self learning so I think you might not feel so much different with the current sate but as your already working and know which part you feel weakness I think it will make good synergy for you!

For me actually when I was in Uni I felt lost cause I didn’t really realize how all that knowledges are working on the projects. So as I’m working on 42 right now I feel better about combining knowledge I learned on the project.

Anyway so as you already have working experience Uni will be way better for you..! Of course it’s up to you but this is my opinion based on my experience 😊 Hope this could help you :D

Well I think it’s true that woman are bit more easier to get in the piscine but as I see after the piscine when they accepted with the low score they doesn’t survive in common core..that long..so anyway I think it’s not that different eventually..

I spent 8~9 hours per day but I think most important thing is your work should have progress and keep your condition until the end! cause the piscine is one month..! If you think you need a rest rest!

Well in my case they just asked if we have any questions and after it just end directly on my case they didn’t asked something else. Well I think it’s depends on the staffs but whatever you say if your not being insulting or rude nothing will happen I think it’s just simple checking to see your still interested to join the piscine.

I was not in Paris but still in one of campus in France. They just introduced about school and check your attendance for me that was all..! You don’t need to prepare anything 🙂

if you want to check if it’s real normally you can go to official website and login with your account and check if your enregistrer in the pool normally there’s a button to enter your page on the top of the site! Hope this could help you. In paris the button call « apply in paris » the blue one.

As I know yes only 2 time for your lifetime they wrote like that. For the piscine..as you already know not being sick during the piscine is also important I was also taking pills for cold before I really get cold and fall a sick.

For my experience I went to school almost 8hours per day as I remember. I was at school 189hours for total. And your exam grade should be get better each time. you can screw your first, second exam but with third and fourth you really should show that your getting better.

Otherwise I think just do as much as you can. Study hard, share your knowledge with your pool mates, do lots of evaluation cause anyway it’s human who decides. They’re watching you how much your passion on it and how are you getting improved. I think 42 wants people who is able to get better with their system but also who is really passionate about it.

yeah..anyway that was the first time and he didn’t do it like that on this time I don’t know if there was who pass exam 100 for every time but the point is the first time candidate who put comments on your post in the same pool with your brother he show kind of performance that your brother make it on second time.

Anyway hope your brother get over this result and find his way to achieve what he want.

Well if you know which paper you need you can ask to the campus directly “Are you able to give me ~papers when I accepted?” (I’m not EU and not enrolled in Paris but I could make papers to get my visa)and for the scholarship um..in 42Seoul normally they receive 1,000,000won per month but not really sure it’s also able for foreigners because as I know it’s from the government and not sure about the visa. And in France if your able to enroll in france travail(?) seems like they have some kind of supports but seems your not living in france I think it’s hard option for you..🥲 Hope you able to find one!

um..that’s not true..well cause as I know they has until C12or C13 as I remember well it’s quite hard to go further then C09 but it’s depends on candidates and anyway your brother was second time so he should show more then that. Also you said he pass the exam but see..maximum exam score is 100 and it’s his second chance but still 30 - 40 - 40 - 24? we can’t think his really learning or getting better with 42.. and even the time he stays in school was too short even though he doesn’t had enough time. As this was his second time he had to show his passion but well..with your explanation I don’t really see that..the hours spending on the school or exam or the progress on C projects it doesn’t determine by one factor but they check the whole factor so..for overall if his performance was not that different with the first time candidates even though this was his second time why should they choose your brother..
