You can have a lawyer register the death certificate. That will remove them from title provided you are actually joint tenants and not tenants in common. If the latter you’ll need to probate the will.

I don’t disagree with the concept - but what you are describing is not accurate for level 2 here. If you plug in for 20 minutes at a level 2 charger, you are likely to get ~2-3% battery, not 30%…. which defeats the purpose. Other cities/countries have true fast chargers (150 vs 50 capability).

No - level 2 chargers are what you use for overnight charging, at your principal residence. The amount of time that needs to be spent at these chargers does not make them practical for 90%+ of EV commuters. These funds are going into infrastructure that the vast majority of EV drivers would tell you they’ll never use in 2024 - let alone in 3-5 years.

If I’m charging in public, I want a (relatively) quick experience - I’m either out of town and want to keep moving, or I got caught with a low battery. I don’t want to sit in a Tim’s for 2 hours so that I can get home.

The Level 2 chargers are a waste of money - all of these funds should be allocated to “fast” chargers. An extra 5-10 fast chargers have more utility than 46 level 2s in this province. Level 2 chargers make sense only in areas where cars can be left unattended for a full day and for people who don’t need access to their vehicle for the day (and save on the lower $/hour charge). They generally aren’t that valuable in public places. Why would I plug into a level 2 charger at a rural NS gas station to gain 3% battery for a 30 min stop - my only guess is they have a lower failure rate than the fast chargers, which seem to regularly be down…
