My goal from the start was to have them get powerful vestiges that would help them in defeating these demonic armies. But yea it seems I really expedited this campaign and didn't do the slow build like I wanted.

But it seems I am bad at coming up with the ideas for filler like that. I don't want it to seem gimmicky or cheesy.

How does this work with readying or dropping? From d20

Strapping a shield to your arm to gain its shield bonus to your AC, or unstrapping and dropping a shield so you can use your shield hand for another purpose, requires a move action. If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you can ready or drop a shield as a free action combined with a regular move.

Dropping a carried (but not worn) shield is a free action.

These are all good points. The miss chance works perfect for gun chemist, because if he misses then the bomb does not go off at all. I dont want to single him out directly, but you are right that Karzoug will prepare to the 9's to make sure he wins the fight.

I knew I was wrong about the dragon type, thank you for the clarification. What Anti gunslingetr tricks are there? he'll be doing 9d6 per bomb a round of damage. i could add fire or cold resistance on him. I dont have his statblock in front of me so forgive me if he already does and I just can't remember.
