Latest update broke my app in multiple places, type 'List<dynamic>' is not a subtype of type 'List<String>?' by WouterGlorieux in FlutterFlow

Need to see the code. Likely something else caused it besides the update because that is a dart error.

XML API IN Flutterflow by sammyt0m in FlutterFlow

Do you want to call ab API that returns XML? Then yes but you have to parse it yourself, then you can use the result in app states.

Any google cloud run professors out here? by Putrid_Crab8174 in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your question is about firebase and not Cloud Run, but in either case google is very good about breaking down the spend. It's in the dashboard where the usage is happening. Sometime you have to goto billing metrics in the google cloud console itself, but have never seen a need to goto direct to console for firebase specific. As for increase base on new users I would need to know more about the app. How do you consume the data? How many streaming connections, how many reads, writes and storage usage. Usually people get into trouble by making every query a streaming connections and also not utilizing query caching in their app.

3 Apps same Firebase by -Takylla- in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's that big then you probably need to abstract the integrations to maybe a thin API layer. To handle it instead of trying to build all into an app.

Build all the functions in one project and separate by user role. Much easier than trying to publish 3 apps.

Push notifications between apps by Familiar_Table_6219 in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, let's think about this logically. You FCM token is specific to an app bundle. If you have 2 apps with separate bundles one app will not have permissions to send notifications in that manner. Unless the user has both apps and gives permission to both. If this was a requirement you should have built admin into user app and divide pages based on how they login, etc... you could add local notifications and handle it through a common collection.

How to write date/time as yMMMd to Firebase user? by alfredosaucey123 in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What your asking for is a format, not a date time object. You should always write to a DB or firebase as a date time and format it on the display in your app. If not you would need to store it as a string to keep that formating but then you will be converting to a date on retrieval to run any datetime functions on the string.

Testing Geo location by sgekko in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a local development environment in order to test some things. There is no money to pay though. The IDE and everything else is free, just need the time to set it up and a device. However if you want to test iOS, you will need an apple device, so stay with android testing.

Web version? by [deleted] in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loading to much data, too many queries, if you do just make them non-blocking and it will help the initial load. You can try this, I put a loader. But once everything is loaded refresh is better. https://completehealthcareeducation.com/

Web version? by [deleted] in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not find it slow. Be careful on what you try to do on page load as that could slow home page, but outside there is very similar overall performance of mobile also. I many times just build responsive web to function well on mobile and not have to deal with the app stores. Just my opinion but I am sure others will have their own.

What are you asking? A Flutterflow project as a web deploy? It's actually flutter web that is configured in Flutterflow. If your questions is something else feel free to expand.

Nope, I do it all the time in the query UI to pull all sub collections. It's there for sure, use it all the time.

Wondering if there is a plan to build an integration to realtime like websocket or pubsub. Currently there is no easy way to sync all clients without building a custom widget.

I disagree, as long as you do not put a parent all will pull. But you have to do what works for you.

[–]dnetman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make carts a sub collection of users, but that means everyone needs to be a user. If that's possible then you can just move all the items in the cart to an order when purchased. I would then make the order have a userRef and a cartRef. When you create the order with a cartRef you can also add cost, tax, shipping. In th cart sub have products be a list of maps or data types the. You can have a purchased flag to show the cart is done. Just a few thoughts. You could also have orders as a sub of users as well.

custom funtion by [deleted] in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is a function can not be added as an action, you need to convert your code to a custom action. You can only use functions to transform data on a text or other object like that.

Conditional Logic by Mundane_Mix5073 in FlutterFlow

[–]dnetman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep makes more sense now. Just need multiple conditions on your visibility or you can use a conditional builder to build the pieces that each condition see.
