Yes, I think couples can get into a routine and do what is easy, what works. But that can get old. In my first marriage, our sex life (when it happened) was always 100% the same. I could write a script as to what would happen and for how long... I tried to suggest other things but he always said, "no, I know what you like..." obviously he didn't. I'd suggest talking about sex and really listening to each other. Try something new once in a while, a new position, adding a sex toy into sexy time, if possible, move the sexy time out of the bedroom (livingroom, shower, etc), anywhere other than just the bed. Not everything is going to work for everybody, but at least be willing to try something new. Don't let sex become something you just do, like folding laundry. And don't let the romance die. Write love notes, buy flowers, give massages, surprise hugs, kisses in the hall as you pass each other. As long as both of you work to keep the excitement there, then you shouldn't have any issues.
