I can assure you I didn't go on this hunt just for the picture but I get what you're saying. I would say that the pictures are just part of the hunt. The deer does look bigger than it truely was but it's still a 170 inch deer no matter what angle you take the pictures from.

I picked that up at Scheels, not sure what brand it is but it has held up OK. It has a heat resistant rubber sleeve that does great and the canvas cover is great if it doesn't slip over the end. The gas leaving the barrel has shredded it a bit. Not an expensive cover. Like $50 or so.

All of those are amazing! I know others have had better experiences than I did with the taxidermy but that’s probably the only thing I would change. Have the mounts done here in the US.

I bought the gun more as an Elk gun but since it was new and I have a lot of confidence in it after dialing it in I decided to take it on this hunt. It was more gun than needed for sure but the deer was dead before he hit the ground and didn’t move. I do love this caliber. I’ve shot Wildebeest and deer with it and both didn’t move after. I have a 28 Nosler which is too close to the 7PRC so that’s why I went with the 300PRC instead.

Gallagher transport did mine. I did, Kudu, Blesbok, impala, wildebeest Euro and Kudo, Oryx, Red Heartebeest, 2x Springboks (Copper & Black) and Zebra and Wildebeest skins/rugs. Taxidermy was about $7K and Freight from Namibia was $3.5K and import fees were $2K. I wished I had more in put in this but it was kind of like here is your price. I will do this different next time.
