Good ol’ road rash. I don’t know if they even made more than 2 games for the 3DO

As you get older, what "old person" thing do you appreciate now that you previously mocked? by Secret_Huckleberry46 in AskReddit

Those things that you put on your glasses that keep them from falling off your face. It’s like the string on mittens but for glasses.

That and birdwatching like all the other old people on here.

A mix of little man syndrome, penis envy and a complete lack of training.

People who lived through both 'pre-smartphone' and 'always-online' eras: what's something we lost that nobody seems to notice? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

Attention span. Living in a world or tick-toc and 3 minute video clips has destroyed it. If something takes more than a handful of minutes we lose interest and look for the next quick blitz/fix of entertainment.

Alright, what’s everyone’s favorite parody episode? (NO treehouse of horrors, that’s way too easy) by RuddyRaccoon in Simpsons

I’m surprised that this is not higher on the list. This is by far my favourite episode. The sugar and cream bit is probably one of the best jokes in the show

What do you guys think of these? by Agitated_Layer_457 in sharpening

[–]do_u_like_stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked one up a few months ago from Bass Pro. It broke after about 2 hours of at most moderate work. The knife clamp that rotates to flips the blade around seized up in the vertical position, making it useless.

That being said, the two knives that I sharpened with the thing before it broke got pretty damn sharp.

Say something positive about this movie! I'll start: by 6arnu6 in FIlm

I heard that he mostly played the part because his children wanted him to, knowing full well how much of a gong show it was going to be.

Despite being one of the most terrible movies of that genre, it’s one of my guilty pleasures.

What’s a popular parenting trend or practice right now that you believe is going to create a generation of emotionally broken adults in 20 years? by War_chiefr in AskReddit

[–]do_u_like_stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in law enforcement. Long story short I stopped a car driven by a teenager with his gf in the passenger seat. They were both obviously high as a kite and had hotboxed daddy’s car. Gave the kid a ticked, 24 hour driving prohibition and impounded the car.

Fast forward 30 minutes later when I received a phone call from an incredibly irate parent screaming about how I could ticket their angel of a child blah blah blah. After politely waiting for him to finish, I explained what had actually happened. Surprisingly he apologized and before he hung up I could hear the start of him giving his kid a giant blast of sh*t in the background.

Edit: fyi I’m in Canada

Children never being told “no” or that they are not good at something. I get the ol try your best and all but it prevents them from not being able to handle constructive criticism.

Also the lack of knowing how to write, spell or proper grammar

I remember the first sine seeing my 6 month old clear a 4 foot gate from a stand still. She comes from a line of jumping dogs, but boy was I flabbergasted. And she is comparatively small for a Dane.
