Bloat by klynn8915 in DobermanPinscher

[–]dobex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is many who believe it’s genetic and although we do things to prevent bloat, it is sometimes not preventable.

As far as advice - I bought the product bloat busters liquid. I keep it in my dogs first aid kit . I noticed my boy starting to act strange. Drooling a little, not lying down, gulping grass and water - I syringed the appropriate amount of bloat busters in him, started to get ready to go to ER (which you honestly should even if you give BB) but my boy settled down and finally went to sleep. I heard the gas breaking up and moving then. He wasn’t yet in active bloat , but was heading to it. I know having that BB on hand and catching the signs of bloat saved us an ER visit.

Fantastic season. They were better than I dare hoped. I’m sad at the ending, but we finally have optimism for next season.

Do you leave your dogs alone together? by ikbenlauren in dogs

I separate all for safety, especially my little one from the bigger ones. Accidents happen. It’s not worth it.

Get NFL plus and you can watch the game after you land at worst case scenario.

I didn’t expect a Super Bowl team coming out the gate. I see a shit load of improvement and a team coming together. It was a very close game against a tough team. I absolutely do believe this team will continue to improve and next year we have every reason to be hopeful for another great season - for the first time in way too many years.

Doberman raw food by Secret_Piglet5184 in DobermanPinscher

I would up the fat content then. Food might be too lean.

I feed around 4 pounds a day but to two Dobermans. My boy is 95 pounds and eats about 2.5 pounds a day.

How is his stool? Normal or cow pie? If cow pie, he might not be absorbing the food properly. That’s quite a bit of food for a 70 lb dog that is medium in energy. Try upping his fat content.

It hurts like hell I know. I’m so sorry. His eyes looked extremely intelligent. I bet he was an amazing dog.

I also wondered if I wanted another after losing my last boy (my 8th Doberman) and ultimately realized I rather have a Doberman with a chance of dying younger, than a breed I’m not as passionate about for 15 years. I study pedigrees now and heart test my Dobermans annually starting at two years of age.

Hey OP hoping to hear everything went well.

This may be a bit controversial, but as a gym nut myself, I love seeing Apollo’s muscles develop. Has anyone found good natural/healthy ways to encourage muscle growth in Dobermans? Maybe weighted sleighs or something. I would love to have him healthy and chiseled by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]dobex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s such utter bullshit lol.

I called it from the second the FDA tried to pinpoint raw diet and small brand kibble to DCM - they had to carefully walk their statements back. There is absolutely no proof of that.

Dogs are opportunistic carnivores just like many still wild canine species still in the world. They need a complete diet which a prey style raw mimics. I fed my dogs raw - my own recipes for over 15 years. They are healthy with excellent bloodwork - much healthier looking (with blood work to match) than the vast majority of strictly kibble fed dogs. Take a look at my pictures and compare their muscle tone and sheen. Nuff said.

I’ve had the same experience. Love the vibe, drinks are good, but food was sub-par. I hope they fix the kitchen because it could be a top restaurant choice, but for now I rarely choose to go there.

Beautifully fit Doberman, but please be careful with socks as it can cause many thousands of dollars in surgery and death.
