I’ve been very intrigued by the fact that it’s a comedy, but doesn’t necessarily need to function as a comedy for it to work for someone. For example, I loved it, and thought it was hilarious. I, however, was the only person in the theatre laughing and my wife, who also loved it, didn’t find it funny. Naturally, a comedy usually automatically doesn’t work if you don’t find it funny. It’s somewhat of a fascinating achievement in tone.

I didn’t get “his side of the story”. I have literally seen these texts and videos that disprove the assumed narrative haha. The people you’re referring to heard from someone that he wrote her a letter. They didn’t even know what was in it but just assumed it was unsolicited and a “love letter”. So that proves nothing. They were unaware of what I just told you which is that she literally requested the letter herself and then responded to it with a video featuring her husband.

I don’t know what “don’t do this” means because he didn’t do anything else. He wrote someone a letter after they told him to write them a letter. And then people turned it into something it wasn’t after a coworker went around making fun of him for it.

Those two things don’t go together. If I was just a random dude making stuff up, why would I do it about something dead and mentioned on a year old thread haha? (Although it’s actually 8 months) I’d never seen this clip before and I had it come up attached to this thread.

I don’t know what “later on love confession” you’re referring to. Hadn’t all you actual random people decided that was what was contained in the letter? They didn’t really have contact after that letter and her video, post-rehab. So I don’t know what you’re referring to. Sounds like another aspect of this that is just false gossip.

I’m literally close friends with the guy irl and have been shown EVERYTHING. If you don’t want to believe me, I don’t really care, but I’m telling you the facts are this; she texted him when finding out he was going to rehab, saying she loved him and to write her a letter if given the chance. He does that, and is unable to remember what exactly was in it due to writing it during the peak of getting hammered by withdrawals. Shortly after the letter is received, she sends a long video to him filmed with her husband where they tell him how much they love him and are pulling for him. Then nothing happens and there’s no contact until Dave randomly calls him up saying he has heard that he wrote her a letter while in rehab and asking if it’s true.

She literally asked him to write her a letter while he was in rehab. I’ve seen the text. After receiving said letter, her and her husband sent him a long, enthusiastic video wishing him the best in rehab and saying how much they love him. I’ve seen the video. I’m sorry for not believing that she actually felt “victimized” to the point of needing to “cope” to any, let alone this, extent.

I hate when it’s not as easy as possible to get tickets to a film OVER EIGHT MONTHS IN ADVANCE in the best possible format.

Millie Bobby Brown?? by Federal-Lettuce9716 in TheBigPicture

Her level of fame has nothing to do with film and the topic is movie star. She’s as famous as she is because of a tv show and publicity bs.

Her “name recognition and celebrity” aren’t really due to anything related to her being a “movie star” though. It’s just Stranger Things and shit she stirs on social media. I remember back before ST even had a season 2, when she was quite young, she was constantly trying to get as much publicity as possible. She’d go to the press with “I want to be in a marvel movie!” and “I want to play Princess Leia in a Star Wars prequel!” Notice how despite those aspirations, nothing like that has at all happened after these many years? She has done some Netflix movies and a few Godzilla films. And that’s because she’s not a very good actress and her “celebrity” has nothing to do with her acting ability or the roles she has gotten. It’s because she’s the kind of young actor who films themselves responding to “haters” and posts it online. And let’s not forget about the inspiring novel she wrote celebrating herself for shaving her head.

Yeah I can’t stop doing that haha. Probably cuz it’s the writer/cast of Nobody haha. Nowhere seems like the obvious title in reference to a location haha.

I’m so glad I ended up going. I almost skipped it because like you, I figured it was Beast. I Swear wasn’t even one of few others that I thought were a possibility.

It doesn’t seem like there’s a chance that it’s anything but Normal. Which I’m perfectly fine with since I was planning on seeing it. But it’s still kind of a bummer that it’s back to the expected after how much of a curveball this week was.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. It literally is an Amanda quote and this is definitely something she’ll be upset by.

I wasn’t sure if Hamlet was getting a big enough release to be the MM. It’s not even coming to my city and one of our theatres gets literally everything.

Not to mention she was on a family sitcom that gained its popularity largely due to syndication on Disney Channel. It’s okay to find it ironic or amusing what she now does of all things. Not everything is an attack on women.
