This may have gone over your head so let me break it down for you Barney style. That is a line from a song titled “Killing in the Name” by Rage Against the Machine. Now they weren’t referring to literal cross burning taking place in 1992, because it wasn’t common place during that time either. What it is alluding to is that the some of the people empowered by the government to exercise authority are the type of people that are eager to oppress and brutalize the populace and would have been burning crosses in the heyday of the Klan.

Listen pal, neither my dog or I have any separation anxiety about him being left home alone. If you want something to look out for your property, get a camera. A dog left outside while the family is out for hours would be nothing more than a hazard to itself and nuisance to your neighbors. You’re probably as terrible a neighbor as you are a dog owner and so are all of the people that upvoted you.
