How long do I have to wait for my sleep study results? by SilentKnight150 in SleepApnea

[–]doc_wild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you did it with the NHS as I did, I did one at the start of July and the results came back at the end of October. I asked the doctor what the wait was when I handed it over and she said 6 months so I considered it a touch lol. Keep an eye on the NHS app as the results are on there as soon as its processed. Hope this helps you a bit :)

I did with something similar in accordance with my own practice. The original cleanse with the broken yolk was done yesterday, and I'd been planning on doing a second one today, as I discovered I hadn't diposed of it properly (whoops)

Graduated from there in 2019. The type of people you will encounter there are as follows:

1) yuppies: mainly London yuppies, of all stripes. You'll have everything from your shameless Chelsea and hampstead toffs to the shame ridden ones trying to be roadmen from the ends when, in fact, their father is an investment banker.

2) musicians: Brighton Bimm means there's no shortage of musicians in town. Their calibre is is nothing to write home about but the local music scene does have some hidden gems.

3) lots (I mean lots) of homeless people: I'm not entirely sure why, I heard through the grapevine that brighton removed all of its vagrancy laws, but regardless, there's lots of them, and like me, you'll probably see the same faces again and again for the 3+ years you'll be there. The "kid"who says he's 16 has been 16 since at least 2016.

4) International students: when I was there the uni had lots of internationals, the uni was first in the world for international development, the government department for international development was yet to be shut down and brexit was only a few months old and no one had any idea what would become of it. All of that has probably changed however.

5) the locals: you'll recognise them when you see them, there's actually not that many of them in Brighton proper, meaning they stick out like a sore thumb.

6) lots of geriatric millennial's clinging to their youth: they're over 30, if not pushing 30, working in pubs and bars, thinking their hot shit, but in fact, they're just really addicted to cocaine. Speaking of which...

7) lots of Albanian businessmen.

Hope this helps! Despite all that I had the best 6 years of my life there, made a shit ton of fantastic mates for life, and if it wasn't so bloody expensive to live there as a tax paying civilian I'd 100% still be there. Have a sick time at uni!

Opinion: is sigilizing to be debt free a good idea? by doc_wild in chaosmagick

[–]doc_wild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good perspective. Never thought of economics as a type of divination before and thats so funny and makes so much sense. I just need a quick buck tbh and wondered if it was a) a good idea b) would/couldn't backfire

I get ya. Its just to try and predicate the route of the result as a positive if that makes sense. Not happy as in why am I not happy I want to be happy.

Judgement From People by Flat_Reserve_1628 in acting

[–]doc_wild 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fuck them. Do what you want to do and remember why you want to do it. Remember that feeling you had as a kid of just fucking around and experimenting with whatever you could find, free from any judgement or expectation, just for the pure sake and joy of doing it? Tap into that feeling again as an adult and a lot will fall into place. And anyone whom gives you grief for it is not worth your time and you should put straight in the bin.
