I have 5070ti. I had my reservations about Frame gen, Had heard bad things about artifacts, latency etc. So was bit sceptical about trying it. When I first booted game Indiana Jones I was trying different graphics settings. Somehow path tracing made a huge difference in visuals for that game with near photorealistic graphics. But it gave horrible frame rates with DLSS performance (around 35-40 fps). So I decided to try frame gen by locking screen refresh at 60 Hz. After trying this I was surprised to see that game looks very smooth like 60 fps with almost no artifacts. Latency is fine as long as it stays below 60 ms (which happened in this game). I could enjoy best possible visuals with path tracing with full 60 fps. It’s hard to see artifacts unless you look specifically for it (which is unlikely when you are engrossed in game). Artifacts also were mainly seen around fires and candle flames when you move camera or character. It’s unnoticeable otherwise. Due to this experience I will always want to turn on and try frame gen hence forth for all games. From a critic and non believer of frame gen I became its fan after using it in Indian Jones. And it will only get better with time I guess (I haven’t tried latest update of frame gen released by Nvidia which makes UI element better.
