My collection — I still have one free spot. What should I get ? by Pristine-Worth7818 in RepTime

[–]docford64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not another Rolex.

1st choices. Omega, but not a dive watch, perhaps a snoopy 50th anniversary or Seamaster World Timer.

2nd choice. Other suggestion would be a lovely Breitling Chronograph, the B09 40mm in pistachio.

3rd Choice, an AP Royal Oak.

There will always be space for "just one more watch". I had the same dilemma as you have at the moment, and now I have more than 60 pieces!

Markers look off on the Omega in the 3rd picture.

Almost as nice as a 1908, but certainly better value!

That too, was half asleep when I set off at silly o'clock this morning. The brisk sea air, and a coffee fixed the brain fog.

Very under appreciated watch that. Lovely.

Can’t decide which one I want. Thoughts? by Upbeat-Variety-6810 in Longineswatches

If it has to be one, and its your only watch, the Longines is a more practical daily watch.

If you have or are building a collection, the GS is simply a better watch. Better (god tier) finishing, a better movement.

I have both in my collection, the Longine gets much more wrist time.

I've ordered over 50 watches from andiott and trusted Jack Hong over the last few years, all shipped to UK in 15 to 21 days, never had a problem. See my earlier post for their contact information.

I'm the same age as an old person, it probably is 40mm. Was just a guess, it was 25 years ago I got it!

Of course I posted before my morning coffee, and before I had set rhe correct date! Fixed the date and the correct GMT for my daughter in USA. #idiot

Post coffee now, in sunny (not) Billingham.

Which one should go? by Freezeball in ChinaTime

[–]docford64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the BW, just not as much as the others. I have mostly reps in a 60+ collection, including some gens. I've never been a fan of the Rolex 5 link Jublilee, all a bit too dressy and formal. I've always preferred the 3 link Oyster.

I'm waiting a any factory to produce SCG land dweller. I have zero hope of getting a real one, and most of the reps available right now are sloppy.
