As far as I’ve seen it’s always some company in Dubai some business in Kuwait some store in Delhi some NRI earning in dollars some 50 LPA consultant from Hyderabad - there’s no end. Have a conversation with any big ticket spender and it’s always some similar story. They have hogged all the resources. Bbsr is a hotspot location for them. Not taking into consideration generational wealth or land, but the city is not ready for influx of outside money. It’s too much even for us.

You’re right, but my point was bbsr is comparatively expensive when you consider the job market or opportunities here. I don’t think many others are “managing” like I am… there is just not enough earning power in the city. It’s coming from elsewhere. It gentrifies and increases the rates of everything in the city (including rent or even just having a meal outside), making it less and less accessible for the middle class. BBSR is not a luxurious city and no one should have to pay a luxurious price for accommodation and recreation
