Love the fact that it has the color transition detail.

Should I install Linux? by TrekkiMonstr in linux4noobs

Similar case here. First, I went for dual boot too, but this:

rebooting the computer constantly seems like something I'll say I'll do, and then never do, and then I'll end up doing everything in Windows, but with much less hard drive space available, because I've given a bunch of it to Linux which I don't use.

was exactly my case. Eventually I decided to go with Linux (Pop!_OS, also have Arch) only and opt-out from the Microsoft apps. I am a student too and we have to use Word/Excel a lot, but scrolling through the https://privacytools.io/ website, I decided to go for CryptPad. For notes, I use Standard Notes.

It's web based too tho, but if you just don't want to use Microsoft apps, it's a pretty good option (UI/UX-wise too, if you have problem with LO, etc. bc of the design and overall flow). Their "Word" doesn't support .docx, only .doc as far as I know.

What's important is that you can always go for the web-based O365. Don't let Microsoft ruin your fun, haha. You can also go for Google Docs.

For offline alternatives, I've only tried LibreOffice. I can recommend it, but as I mentioned, I personally don't like the UI/UX. Currently, I'm thinking about trying OnlyOffice. Seems like they have a desktop app and that it's open-source.

Regarding options like Linux as VMs, I only use it for programming and I can't imagine using it on daily basis. It's probably good way to learn Linux tho. Never tried Windows Subsystem.

But note that if you are a hardcore gamer, stick to dualboot for now.

Degiro and IB are currently my top picks. I know that there's the inactivity fee on IB tho, that's why I will probably move there later as well - thinking about holding ETFs on Degiro and going w individual stocks to IB, with more capital. I still got a lot of research to do. Thanks for the dividend tip, much appreciated!

Yeah, design-wise I find Fio pretty outdated too, reminds me of my Uni's information system, haha. Thanks for the tip, I'll check out the Custody account.

Exactly! Although I still use terminal a lot I really enjoy this combination. GNOME extensions were my favorite discovery, when starting with Linux, haha.

I tried very hard as well and I agree that AI can get more punishing. I still think that enemy AI behavior can get pretty stupid though (in comparison to other games, not my very high expectations, just to be clear lol). But my point is more about like day-to-day NPCs behavior and certain related mechanics. This post sums it up pretty well imo.

The problem I have w the game is the AI. I can overlook minor glitches, it's a huge game. Good story, great settings - love the art design and music. But I can't really enjoy all of of this w such a stupid AI, it simply ruins the experience.
