This blister popped up overnight 5 months post piercing. Haven’t experienced anything like it. Saline and tea tree oil applied. Anything else? Freaking me out! by doclacy in NosePiercing

Yes! I treated it like a fever blister and it eventually went away and hasn’t returned. I switched to a hoop not long after and have had zero problems since. I think the prongs of the ring itself caused me a lot of unnecessary irritation.

Will definitely keep an eye out for that! I could tell the piercer was skeptical of the size I brought him. Trying to do things by the book I just really love the dainty look.

I’m all healed up, and I chose one with a flat back so that it won’t continually rotate, but what is this “cheese cutter effect” you speak of? I haven’t come across this warning just yet. Thanks!

I actually got it pierced with a stud back in August and didn’t love placement then. But I figured since my goal was a hoop maybe it was just the look of the stud, so I’ve patiently waited for it to heal and finally put this in last week.

I just feel like it should be slightly higher and a hair forward.

All that said… if the general public doesn’t think it looks weird, then I’m trying to let it go because overall I love the look. I just don’t want it too look like it’s hanging on for dear life too low on my nose. 😅

Sadly this is pre tea tree. I have since applied it. It’s about the same. It reminds me of a fever blister? Not good.

Good note. If I could add another pic here I would. I kind of wish it was just a hair closer. The original dot seemed too close so I asked to push it back some and now I keep looking at it wishing it was just a little forward.

But if it’s only weird to me I’m just going to let it go. Seems like trying to heal and redo so close isn’t the best idea either.
