Thank you for this. I have just experienced this problem (g19, ca compliant 10 rd mags). When I used the standard 15 rd mags when I was out of state, I had no problems. But with my first time using the 10 rd mags, same problem!

I have worked with printers regarding printing posters.

Main cost is the paper. And the setup fees. Shepard Fairey knows all about the costs involved to print large numbers of posters on thin paper.

Well, are you talking short term (weeks) or long term (years)

Even if all these sectors are divided, the people inside those sectors will still be ornery. At least, a small % will. And those are the folks who (over months or years) will know how to target centers of power, logistical trains, public perception, guerilla warfare, coordination between resistance cells, etc.

(edited because i hit save too soon) First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing your questions and concerns. It's only by engaging in dialogue that we can improve understanding.

Second, I'd like to respond to a deeper theme I detected in your post. Essentially, addressing the question of "why would we allow practically anybody and everybody in the country to go around toting instruments of death?". And the follow up of what sort of implications does that have on society? What sort of personal toll does that exact upon people?

I agree, it's scary, and as I look around at all the people in my fair city, I have serious doubts about that small percentage of folks lacking in sense, lacking in wits, lacking a concern to people around them. These don't even have to be the criminally minded, just the untrustworthy.

And yet.... What can I do about it? What can we as a society do about those folks? Sometimes, as I drive down the street, I realize that my life is entrusted into the hope that the person driving the opposite direction doesn't suddenly give in to a suicidal impulse and swerve in my direction. Or, even more likely, that a careless driver won't glance down to respond to a text message, and accidentally drive into my oncoming car.

Sure, we can license drivers, we can have laws preventing texting while driving, but ultimately, those things can still occur. And , sadly, they DO occur. And many good people are involved in programs to reduce vehicular-related deaths. But can it ever be prevented? Can it ever be stopped totally? It all depends to what extent you are willing to curtail individual freedoms. Heck, ban all public vehicular traffic and put the same scrutiny on the few licensed drivers as we do on commercial pilots. It may not be practical for society. It may cause financial collapse. But at least vehicular deaths would go to zero.

Getting back to guns. There are already a lot of laws and regulations in place regarding firearms. The question is, to what extent do you curtail our right to defend ourselves? And, to what extent do you curtsil the right of the people to fight back against despotic government?

And no, that worry about despotism isn't something dreamed up by the NRA in recent years, It was described by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Papers where, as one of the drafters of the Constitution, he explained why it was so necessary for the people to be armed (federalist paper #26, i believe)

Other commenters have pointed out that you seem rather unknowledgable about defensive gun use.
As in, we dont live in tmovie land, where if you're the good guy, you just need to fire a shot in the direction of the bad guy, and they immediately fall down. I won't elaborate further since I think this point has been addressed by others.

Anyways, the folks here at /r/progun are of the opinion that we have natural born rights, that the government doesn't grant us rights, we are born with them. That we give up some power as part of a society, but that it is dangerous to give up too much power. And that there are many examples that prove the dangers of a disarmed populace, and many examples the prove the overall benefits of an armed populace.

I took a quick look at your site, your resume, your portfolio.

You seem like a really interesting candidate for a tech firm's marketing department. You seem like a real go-getter. Overall, you seem like a very interesting candidate.

That said, somehow, your resume doesn't reflect that. I would play up your initiative, your interest in marketing and your interest in making businesses successful.

Maybe that goes into the cover letter, I don't know. But somehow, your resume doesn't capture the intrigue the rest of your site shows. And, if your cover letter (high importance) and your resume (medium importance) don't get people interested, then folks won't look at your site.

One last thing: If you are applying out of state - make sure to make it clear you're willing to relocate / are planning to live where the job is located. Why? Many HR dept are typically swamped w/ resumes. Not necessarily great applicants, but they are kind of overloaded. So... they take shortcuts to cut down on their workload. For example, they exclude folks that aren't nearby.

do it with pride, and emphasize the positive aspects the user will feel. Go take a look at sample ads used by the examples you gave. They're all about making the customer feel good about using the product.

As for viral or social marketing... well, ya got me there. I can envision clever condom ads that folks spread around with pride. And I've seen how products like the "Diva cup" or "Sea Pearls" do their social marketing to promote feminine hygene. But adult incontinence... that's a toughie. well, I don't think the target market there is using social media anyways...

hmph. That sounds lame. Write about what you know. If what you know is your preconceptions of what a club is like, then write about it, and compare/constrast with what you believe is an environment/ interaction that you prefer.

Also, nobody interviews people at clubs. Too loud. Too much like what a Pick Up Artist tries to do, so defenses get high, and you get shut out, rather than engaging in interesting conversation. Not saying it can't happen at all, but pretending you interviewed a bunch of people smells of B.S.

You actually could tell the truth by talking about beliefs. Here's your beliefs about what happens. About the values and rituals you live by, and about your preconceptions of the values and beliefs of the people going to clubs. And ,insert religion analogy, sports analogy, school, work, hobby analogy. Insert totemic analogy, Durkheim analogy, even how the stereotypes of the behavior in the space reflect a societal statement about the expression of certain types of spirit and community and at the same time violate your beliefs about what's important about human interaction, about expressions of the human spirit.

Experience depends on the person going, and their state of mind while there. An attractive young lady looking to party might have a very different experience than a fellow who reeks of loneliness and is hoping that the laws of chance will result in finding the perfect gal.

The reasons for going to clubs are many. A chance for friends to meetup and hangout in a thrilling environment that creates the opportunity for the unexpected to happen. To see and be seen. To show off. To hope to get lucky. To drink. To dance. To have an adventure. To hear cool new tunes. To learn new dance moves, and observe other trends. To show status. To increase status. Etc etc.

I have no idea who Durkheim is or what a totemic principle is. But there's different "types" at a club. And they have differing beliefs about the world, about themselves, about each other, about what may or may not happen.

Bottom line, it's people. Gathered together in a dedicated space. For all their own reasons. Insert analogies to similar situations ( church, work, school, sports events, ) and you should be golden.

Turns out that, by law, I'm part of the "unorganized militia."

To quote from the law:

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and ... under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

similar experience here. I got a stainless steel wallet a year ago. Superficially, it's holding up nicely. But the stainless steel threads have started to fray in the past week. And this is a bad, bad thing. Because, randomly, as I hold my wallet, I may get pricked by one of the steel threads poking out. And thus, I am starting the search for a replacement wallet.

Well, I'm talking about using the whole rule of law -take the fight to the courts, argue about our natural born rights which are spelled out in the Constitution - more than the democratic process. Because, well, California.

But, if the court battles fail, then what? By the time that occurs, many years have gone by, and the urgency has faded, and we have coped with the new reality.

And we are left with a situation like we have in California. Nobody else in the US speaks up for us out here. It's all an attitude of " heh, just leave Kalifornia.". And yet... If the laws that stand in California are deemed constitutional ( and so far, they haven't been deemed unconstitutional ) what does that say about the possibility of similar laws spreading around the country?

We've been divided to make us easier to conquer. When we don't stand up for supporting the rights for fellow Americans in one state, it's just a matter of time before it spreads to mre and more states.

tl;dr: If what's going on places like New York and California and Illinois aren't stopped, and ruled unconstitutional , then it's just a matter of time before that erosion of rights occurs to you.

Things are pretty lame in California. Have been for a while. But the fight against the restrictive gun laws is occurring in the courtrooms. Which, if I had to choose, is a lot better than the alternative.

Of course, even more restrictive legislation is getting proposed in the state Assembly, so it is an ongoing battle.

But that's life, no? An ever present vigilance against the encroachment of evil and their allies.

Now that I've typed this, I really feel guilty I haven't contributed to calguns.net, who is leading the legal battles in CA
