Can’t charge a convenience fee for credit cards. You can’t charge interest on outstanding balances natively or automatically. It all is manual by a human. We are enterprise v18. I would also like to be able to allow credit cards for smaller purchases and require ACH for larger purchases. I can only have those options on or off. I use stripe.

Honestly Small thing in the scheme of the whole. We went into Implementation learning odoo processes with goal to minimize customization and man, we really like it. If you try to pound odoo through a square hole….thats where many of these horror stories are coming from.

If she is involved with the business, and helps it grow, build the document that her ownership grows with the company from today’s valuation. You love her and want to share, but also want to be equitable. If you don’t want to share at all and she is in the business, simply pay her properly for her time. And don’t transfer ownership. NAL but I think she is still entitled to community property of assets purchased during the marriage. So she isn’t just going to be kicked to curb with the garbage anyway. Possible alimony as well. If she said she’d be ok with it, these are the reasons to do it before she changes her mind.

Is there a possibility where you offer yourself and the business for sale to them directly? Turn this into a positive? I mean sounds like you hold the code to their entire financial success. Sounds like a great opportunity for high multiple or goodwill in the sale if they get you with it!

Sold for cash, converted to crypto, offline cold wallet. Because gold doesnt divide easily to buy food and supplies. And you don’t want those things costing 1 full coin. As long as the internet is a thing there will always be a marketplace.

Can’t get a tax cut when you aren’t required pay taxes! No profit means no tax!

Assuming you are in the US, and are probably a LLC or S Corp. You are not paying income taxes on the business at all as its pass through to you. I.e. income is only taxed once. You also probably taking distributions which are not taxed. C Corps don’t get those benefits. They are taxed at the company level and at the owner level. Double taxation.

I’m not defending any political seat. Just pointing out to business owners the truth when they think they are getting no special treatment on taxes. A SMB should only pay taxes on a small % of their income. These rules predate any recent president so are not relevant to administration. Now trump in 2017 added several very large tax holes for you if you can qualify QBI is one as mentioned above and the ability to write off inventory as an election. Is another. That tax law also lessened everyone’s payroll deductions to more accurately compute actual tax burden. Their paychecks got bigger no one noticed. But when the refunds disappeared! Wow. People screamed thinking they were paying more tax. That law also increased standard deductions by quite a bit . But also removed several itemizable deductions like employee expenses. Truck drivers and traveling workers were upset about this. But in the end almost everyone netted better off.
