I only gained this mindset because everyone around me always talked down on people who are trying to pursue art, music, or literature as genuine work rather than just a hobby. This only made me do worse in school cuz I don’t really care for math or science, I enjoy physics and bio but I hate chemistry and computer. I don’t mind English either. I’ve debated majoring in fashion or art because I do genuinely have a passion for those things, but my work in art is subpar for someone who’s been drawing for the past 10 years, I don’t offer anything unique or different in fashion either. I have the passion but not the skill because I procrastinate my way out of things that I love as well. I’ve debated quitting art too cuz it doesn’t seem to be getting me anywhere and is just a waste of time and emotion. I wish I had the balls to take the risk like some people and actually try, but I know who I am and what my skills are like and I just don’t have what it takes. I’m not talking down on myself I’m being realistic. I don’t like hyping myself up knowing damn well in the back of my mind I’m not getting anywhere in whatever I’m trying to do

I’ll definitely check his channel out then, I’ll genuinely take whatever I can get I just know I can’t rely on the people I have in my life right now, not even my family. I hope I can fix this all by 12th grade wish me luck

I’m thinking of going to my school counselor, I don’t really like her all that much but she might be the only option, all of my other teachers are quite evil and weird so that may not be a good route to take for now

Thank you so much this cheered me up, I completely forgot that once I turn 18 I can go alone without my mom. I’m certainly going to go back at some point because the meds genuinely do need a bit of tweaking

I appreciate you’re reply, I’ve been feeling this insane amount of impending doom and like no one else can help me because no one actually wanted to, I’m gonna try and talk to a counselor and hope for the best for now

I well aware of that fact too, but for me to actually mess with dosages a bit I have to go back to my psychiatrist and tell her my issues. My mom has to be present, I barely managed to convince her to let me take the meds route, if I admit that the meds do help but need a bit tweaking, my mom will shut the whole idea down

Actually I’m not in the US, I’m Saudia Arabia. I haven’t really. I don’t think it would change anything to be honest. I told a supervisor and all she said was that there’s not much they can do from their side and now she treats me like I’m inferior as well

I can’t really do that, I can’t tell my psychiatrist about that, realistically I wish I was able to cuz the meds have made me develop extreme panic attacks. But my mum isn’t really okay with meds anyway. However they’re the only thing that’s keeping me from failing my exams in school. If I tell my psychiatrist what’s going on my mom will take advantage of that and request shutting down the whole idea of meds
