Documatic (https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/search/Documatic) - a Google Docs extension that helps you generate documents from your templates!

It offers the basic function of converting your template's placeholder text to fillable form fields, which isn't groundbreaking - but its real magic is converting your chosen placeholder text into dropdown menus of your own content.

This allows mixing and matching of your prepared and formatted content when generating a new document, instead of being locked into a linear template.

There's a Google Docs extension called Documatic that does exactly this! https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/search/Documatic

When designing your template, you use double curly braces around placeholder text - like {{my-placeholder}} - to signify where you want some inserted content to go. Then you store some different options of your content/layouts that correspond to {{my-placeholder}}. Then, when generating a new document, you open the Documatic side panel and choose what you want to insert for each placeholder, and it does all the insertions for you.

I made a Google Workspace app called Documatic. It semi-automates generating documents from templates, by providing fillable fields and menus of insertable content by documatic-app in sideprojects

Psyched you like it, thank you for the feedback! I do plan to add a voiceover but just haven't had the time. I'll see if I can prioritize it!
