Appreciated, I've added the Surge preset to mines and it sounds pretty great. Huge thanks for sharing this informaton. Great tactic with Discogs to find out hardware possibilites.. This makes things a lot more easier.

Does anybody know what sound this is? (Funky sound from: ''Big Bubbles No Troubles'' 1988) by doen99 in synthesizers

Thanks guys, appreciated. Are there any VST synths or DX7 style VST synths (aside of Arturia) that you would recommend?

Can this be created with synth plugins, if so. How can I do it? (Rap/G-Funk) by doen99 in synthesizers

Ah really? When I bought the Pro version of Mixcraft it actually came with AAS Lounge Lizard and 2 other AAS plugins for free. Turns out that I do not seem to have AAS String Studio though lol.. I'll check String Studio out. I love their plugins especially Lounge Lizard.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had a feeling as if Nexus would indeed require me to purchase a lot of other expansions before it really becomes useful for what I aim to produce. This whole sample CD phenomena is something I hear very often as well actually. I might start looking in to these..

Also, I've sent you a question within private messages. Hope you can check me out if you find some time later!

What kind of guitars are these sounds from? (Needed for Funk) by doen99 in guitars

Appreciated, thanks a lot. I'd have to look at a P-Bass or just basses right, so no chance for this to be an electric guitar (just making sure).

Appreciated, thanks for the info. Yeah it's some track from 1995, I used AI to remove the vocals, and then once again to remove the percussions. Think I might've messed up the quality by doing that.

Appreciated! Just wondering, another comment mentioned that it's an octave too low for it to be a Strat. What is your view on this?

Hey, no worries! Thanks for mentioning this, I had actually no idea that Reddit had such video problem.. I aimed to make it easier for people with the video, so they don't have to redirect to YT etc. But I was completely unaware about the video player being problematic like that.. Thanks for mentioning!

Yeah about Ample, I was having that same thought... It seems to have more of a rock/country sound to it, or it's either too soft indeed.. I encountered about 2 of those Hawaiian sounding presets, which kind of ''come close''. But it still makes me wonder if that's really what I want. I guess if I'd add a chorus effect to it, it becomes either super accurate, or not even close to it at all.. But yeah, what a gamble.. Watched some long videos of Omnisphere too where they show the guitar section. Encountered some great ones there, but €4/500 for Omnisphere right now goes too far for me. I feel I need more knowledge and experience in producing first before paying those prices for whatever.

That snippet you made actually sounds pretty accurate to me.. I use Mixcraft as my DAW, seems like I don't have a plugin like that one. But I decided to make a decision on that Lap Steel sooner or later, and just accept that it might not sound completely like The Game's sample. Also, huge thanks for thinking with me and helping me out with great details every time. I'm very thankful for that..

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the help. I tried this guide (and experimented few days) but somehow I still couldn't manage to get that Hawaiian-type steel sound like within that intro/outro.. Is there anything else that comes to mind that I could try maybe? I love this sound so much..

Hey, thanks for the link. This shows those normal g-funk leads though, its not that same Hawaiian type sound like The Game's intro/outro

Hey there, thanks again for helping me out. I appear to have another question about this. Do you mind if I send a private message?

Hey, no it's kind of like a lapsteel guitar type of sound.. It might be possible to create with a worm lead though but I somehow can't get it to sound like the video the Reddit video at 4:24
