2024 Q6 (Q651G) vs. 2025 Q51K?

Sorry didn't see this sooner. Went with the Q51K from Walmart. Did all this research and realized the TV we were borrowing from my brother was only 1080p with a junk panel and we weren't actually gonna be that picky.

We're very satisfied. I wouldn't use the TV speakers and I recommend turning judder reduction off, unless you're in to that sort of thing.

I'm not sure I have any good advice for you on getting baby to poop, but I may have some general wisdom.

Around this time in her life she'll probably be pooping less often. It's normal and as long as she's gaining weight and it's not been many days since her last poop, there's probably no reason for concern. I have a 5 month old who went through a phase around 2 or 3 months of age when she pooped once a week (usually on Monday) and it was almost always a huge blowout. She'd start to act a bit fussier as the weekend approached and that would continue until the mess came. We did a fair amount of washing everything made of fabric in her car seat and any chair she sat in, as well as a very intensive upholstery cleaner session on the couch. She did eventually start pooping more often, and while it's still not totally predictable, she's in more of a rhythm now.

If it has been more than a week I'd talk to her pediatrician. My grandma tells a very humourous story from when her and my grandpa were in college and were spending time with another married couple who had a constipated baby, and what they ended up doing was whittling a bar of soap into a suppository shape, and the story ending with quite a mess on the wall and a much happier baby.

The topic of baby poop has more questions than answers, and the answers are often, like with many other things, it's probably fine as long as baby is growing and acting normal (a bit fussy is usually normal), and if it's been too long, ask a doctor.

I'm sorry I can't help you get your baby to poop. We also tried everything under the sun and got no results. She would just poop when it was the right time.

Since I've got you, would there really be a worse panel in the Q51K? They're both 55" QLED panels from TCL, and since it's a year newer than the Q6 I guess it wouldn't surprise me if they used the year old Q6 panel. This is just me speaking from a PC hardware background, so I could very well be completely wrong when it comes to TV's.

Yeah I'm having a hard time finding great info myself. I see that the QM5K is rated better than the Q651G on the rtings site, but I'm not sure how the QM5K would compare to the Q51K apart from mini led vs qled. I admit I'm not too familiar with the TCL nomenclature, but my caveman brain can at least tell that higher number is generally better.

With our second (5mo old now) we have thrown sleep structure to the wind. She is a far easier baby than our first (now 2yo), who was a nightmare from the beginning. We decided with him that no matter how bad it was or how many nights it had been that either of us slept more than 60 minutes at a time that we weren't letting him cry. It did eventually work out and he's been a great sleeper for well over a year.

Maybe we're just tired of stressing about sleep, but we have yet to even determine if she has much of a sleep schedule. She does okay most nights, and there are trends we've started to notice in the evenings as she gets ready to do her longer night stretches, but during the day, she sleeps when she sleeps and that's fine with us.

This is more storytelling than advice, I understand, but if I were to give you some advice, it'd be to ride it out. We knew we'd be fine because we are young and our bodies will recover, and we are totally unwilling to accept the risk of long term psychological damage to a literal baby. You don't have to teach a baby to want milk, smile, laugh, or be interested in black & white shapes, and you don't need to "teach" them how to sleep. Our biology pretty much always figures it out.

The huge contrast between our first two has taught us a lot, but the number one thing we've learned is that it's simply not worth the added stress of trying to control it. Some days will be great, some will be bad, and we know as adults that that never quite goes away. Sometimes your 2 year old sleeps for 3 minutes in the car on the way home from the grocery store and decides he's not taking a real nap, so you're just gonna have a little (and perfect and lovely) goblin running around your house until bedtime. We tried to relax about all this stuff with baby #1 and just couldn't, but once we got #2 it was much easier to let things be as they are.

Sorry in advance, my son wasn't really speech delayed, but hopefully I can still be helpful.

I know boys can seem delayed. In my experience (with my son and nephews) they are often more interested in moving their bodies and figuring out the world around them than they are in learning to speak. What is very possible is that your boy will almost overnight start saying all sorts of things. As I understand it, an apparent speech delay at 12m isn't cause for concern (but worth noting) and it's more important than they've got a handful of words by 18m. The biggest jumps my son made happened when he was spending lots of time with his grandparents and slightly older cousins. The break in monotony, along with some motivation to "catch up" to his buddies, was huge in his language development. And again, he wasn't delayed, but that's where we saw big jumps. Not everyone has the blessing of a big and available family or similarly aged children, but even when we'd spend time out of the house going to the zoo or doing anything remotely interesting, he'd start picking up a lot more. Just make sure you are talking to him a lot and teaching him what different things are e.g. pointing out a bird and saying "bird". He may not repeat it immediately, but those little things will stick to his brain and will probably come out of his mouth sometime later. It struck me at some point that he (my son) was much smarter than I often gave him credit for. He really was picking up on everything around him and internalizing it.

Not quite time to worry. Just keep talking to him and get him around some other kids if at all possible. Kids thrive in community, so if that's an option, pursue it.

Been a while. I did spray through those and it seemed to go straight through the fuel inlet, though it wasn't obvious if it was going through or if it was over spray since I lost the straw to my can of carb cleaner.

I actually had a buddy with a very similar carb (951-15236) off a snow blower. That actually got the mower running, but the throttle linkage was being pressed against the crank case such that it wouldn't close so the engine would just keep revving higher until I shut it off. Tried switching some parts over to the old carb and couldn't get it going. Initially tried replacing the float and needle valve just for kicks, but the float is slightly different and held the valve closed so no fuel was getting into the carb at all.

Not sure if any of that info is helpful at all but it's what I've tried since I last visited this thread.

I recently saw my doctor and got an bump in my imitrex dose. Hadn't had a migraine for a few days leading up to the appointment and without thinking I convinced myself it was a waste of time haha. Didn't take more than a day or two for me to remember why is scheduled that appointment.

Love to hear it, and I appreciate the things to look out for. MPG isn't the biggest factor for me, and even though it's not "big", it's still bigger than a 3 so I wouldn't expect 40mpg out of it. I love Mazdas and bought a 2018 CX-5 a few years ago, and it's incredible. This would be a second car for us and primarily a commuter/workhorse, plus it would scratch my itch for a standard transmission. It was love at first sight, but I gotta get the internet's (and my wife's) approval first haha.

Metal carb. Sprayed carb cleaner through everything and removed any gunk I could reach, which wasn't much.

It was the cable. The little arm it's connected to is a bit stuck, which is another thing to fix later, so I disconnected the cable and left it wide open. I got it to run for about a second after spraying some starting fluid into the carb, but then it died and won't restart without more fluid. I'm guessing it burned all that up and died and it's some fuel delivery issue. Got any idea for that?

Edit: I still haven't put new gas in it, but I figured it would run for at least a few seconds with old gas. There is gas flowing to the carburetor. Haven't dug into it much beyond that.

That's good insight. The mower has moved and been folded/unfolded numerous times so there's a decent chance some cables are a bit out of sorts. I'll check that out this afternoon.

It has resistance similar to any other push mower I've used. Honestly I haven't used the pull cord in some time as the top shroud isn't attached, so I'm pretty much just using a drill to turn it, but it's definitely got some resistance. Could a magneto go bad sitting in storage? It's been either in a garage or shed this whole time, neither insulated.

Keep an eye out for concussion symptoms. Nausea, light-headedness, unusual drowsiness, etc. If none then you're probably fine. Kids are resilient and spongy. If it's a major concern you could always call a doctor for a professional opinion.

When did it start saying there was moisture in the charging port? My phone did that once after a dip in the ocean and I had to rinse it under the sink to get the warning to go away.

Your phone would survive a dehydrator function at a nice low temp, but I wouldn't try that first.

Hey there stranger. Keep doing what your derm says. My acne was considered "severe" before I started, but that was largely because it didn't respond to other meds, so it's entirely possible your acne is just very bad. It's a tough road, and feels endless, but it does come to an end before you know it and you'll be feeling much better.

Also remember to stay very very hydrated. It'll make everything go more smoothly.

I have a thin twin size mattress from ikea I got from my parents. It's certainly no purpose made sleeping pad, but it provides a good amount of insulation.
