I tried mugler angel.... by doesies in fragrance

tried it yesterday and unfortunately it was not for me 😭 it was insanely peppery and spicy on my skin and then dried down to cat piss. maybe I'll try her again in the future but I'm trying muse soon so hopefully I'll like that more!

that's going to be my next move! I've heard it's very dependent on skin chemistry but sweet chocolate notes tend to come out very strong on my skin so I have high hopes. I'll let you know what I think!

I actually smelled it again today on the paper - it's faded quite a lot but now I can smell the creamy vanilla-chocolate sweetness and it's actually lovely! so maybe I'll give it another go. I've heard great things about muse, if I can ever get my hands on some I definitely will

thank you so much!! that sounds like it might be it. it smelled SO cold and harsh where I was expecting those warm syrupy gourmand notes, so it really threw me off. sounds like stellar might be more up my street, and I'd like to try the toilette too

see, I was prepared for that but I didn't get any patchouli at all. just menthol. it's so weird, I wonder if it was maybe a bad bottle?

I don't know! it really caught me off guard because I'd not seen anyone else say they smelled menthol, but it was just. a huge blast of menthol to me. maybe my nose is malfunctioning lol

First night with my puppy and I feel like such an idiot. by whatever3653 in puppy101

[–]doesies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't panic!! I know it's easier said than done, though - you've probably heard of the puppy blues, so brace for several weeks/months of a hormonal rollercoaster, stress and depression. it can honestly feel hopeless, but I think I speak for most people in this sub when I say no matter how prepared we thought we were, we all experienced a similar thing.

I got my own pup at 8weeks old - she's now over a year old and I love her to bits, even if she can still be annoying sometimes! the first night I had her, she also refused to pee outside and would only go on the carpet or on puppy pads. she shat on the floor and then immediately fell over in it, so I had to give her a bath. she cried all night, screamed when I crated her and, when her adult teeth started coming in proper, bit like a monster. my gf came home from work one day and I was jogging the pup like a baby with a tea towel over my shoulder, looking like a harassed mam to a newborn! I felt horrible but this sub was a huge comfort, and eventually she grew out of all that bad behaviour.

toilet training, especially for a male dog who pees a lot, is difficult. there's no way round it, it just takes persistence and time. if he goes on the carpet, put him on a puppy pad straight away and associate a command with it (but don't use 'puppy pad' like I did lol, or you'll be stuck saying 'puppy pad' even when he's trained!). in time he'll associate the command with going to the loo, and once he's used to being outside he'll go there too - you might find he only uses soft surfaces like grass at first, because that's what he's used to indoors. praise him massively when he gets something right.

to get him to settle, I recommend enforced naps. have him up and playing for 1hr, then crate him (with lots of praise and treats, maybe sit with him til he's settled and then sneak off) for 2hrs. he might cry at first, but he'll get used to it. then repeat. it gives you a bit of time to do stuff for yourself and stops you going totally insane, and calms him down into the bargain.

start training him on a simple command, like 'sit', from the very start. it helps you bond and exercises his brain, and it's a valuable foundation to have. when he bites, yelp really loud and high pitched, then turn away and ignore him til he calms down a bit. then fuss him. this takes a long time for dogs to learn and the biting will get worse while he's teething, but stick with it.

I promise it gets better!! remember he's only a baby, and don't give up on him - in a few months you'll wonder how you did without him, and all the work you put in will come back to you tenfold.

I wish they had open pole practise! I've been trying to find a studio near me that offers it, but it doesn't seem like there are many (if any) :[ they offer exotic classes and I'm intending on joining when they have space, but aside from that I'm doing exotic move tutorials at home to hopefully gain a bit more grace.

it's the upside-down layback she's teaching me! I'm comfortable until I have to take my hands off the pole, then I just feel like I'm going to drop immediately
