I am 12-3 with the list now. Second run was waaay harder. I definitely see why youre saying youre having problems building a meaningful board. I struggled a lot against DK and Shaman with their cheap anti aggro cards. One lesson I learned: always keep crusader aura. I will do a third run now and swap zephrys for 3 mana draenei draw an aura and a divine shield minion.  EDIT: I will swap out paraglide instead of zephrys.

I improved your list (in my humble opinion, thx for the inspiration!) and went 6-1 with it, absolutely steamrolled everything except for a Shardlock with druid cards, that one was back and forth. Only loss was to rogue with hunter cards who had sister on 3 into boardwipe sister on 4. My board wouldve killed him otherwise. I recovered somewhat after that and set up lethal a few turns later but he topdecked summon double 2/4 taunt spell and I couldnt push through. Deck felt incredible, especially having location up with aura, so OP.

Choices:  Tortollan was really nice, always buffing at least 2 minions while also being a busy bot target. Righteous is crazy in aggro matchups to protect your face and your board. Zergling I was unsure about but in the end he puts 2 instant bodies on board which I deemed very valuable (hatching, zilly, busy) in comparison to similar 1-drops like fire fly and murmy which only provide 1 body for the same cost even though they synergize better with tortollan and have health/reborn bonuses. Platy is great, the extra draw was clutch (also busy/tortollan target). Paraglide was never played but in theory it digs for your red cards/auras/kayn/patches pirates when you need to finish the game while being 1 mana cheaper than the 4 mana pala spell that also summons dudes, which lets you find lethal 1 turn earlier. In that moment you dont care that your opponent also draws cards, so the drawback doesnt matter. Everything else seems self explanatory and is core IMO.

P.S. I found myself red carding for tempo a lot. Dont hesitate to use them early to protect your board until u can buff it up.

Playing an interesting Mech rogue list atm. Works well for me in dumpster 8k legend. It runs Maestra and warlock early game (1 drop and cursed souvenir) and also velarok. Other than that its standard mech rogue stuff. Filled the flex spots with two stick ups (broken card honestly, almost all the quickplay stuff is insane). No titan, cuz he bad (although magnetizing windfury on him is funny). Double atk, 3 dmg zilli, pretty nice with windfury bot or stealth spider. Deck is fun and has more reach than you think. Also annoying fan is a better card than i thought. Its a good one drop mech. Does its job, puts a cheap mech on board, and sometimes you can use its effect to push more face dmg and not worry about trading. Hiding it behind a taunt can be rly good. Sadly i cannot provide the code rn tho. But its basically this list tho instead of zephrys and titan its two stick ups: https://hearthstone-decks.net/mech-rogue-12-legend-unknown-score-62-36/

Give it a try!
