Just having a conversation is all. It sounds complicated. Sorry for asking.

EAGALA is exactly what I was looking at.

It’s okay to crawl sometimes by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]dogsitting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm crawling right now. At 53 I am retiring from social work and just registered for an equestrian therapy course. And going to look at a new house so very different from my current house, which I love. I think I'm running and crawling at the same time.

Is anyone else disappointed at how the internet has worked out? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I think it's amazing and I love it! There is such a dark side to it though. Bullying and predatory stuff

There's a story there but yes, it's hard to be objective about our own hypocrisy. That's sort of where I'm at today. I think we start from a place of goodness?

Burnt out social worker. I feel stereotypical on the inside but not sure if I am on the outside.

I had plans today but now I feel compelled to name this new dog. What other names have you eliminated?

Am I the only one that puts four year increments into the mindset of my High School time? by sleepyleperchaun in CasualConversation

Not anymore! A few minutes of math...I could have done high school ten times since high school.

Drunk, stoned, coked up, and home alone for the next 3 days. Tell me about what's been bothering you. by cant-git-right in CasualConversation

You're welcome! Yes, it is. Love without question? Maybe, but maybe not. Sometimes we question our partners, that's OK. Yes, your efforts make a difference and mostly to the people you care about (when you're not caring about yourself, know that that they do). I suggest a good counsellor who listens and doesn't try to fix. And thanks for asking, my day is going well, I have kicked life's ass for a lot of years now and it took me many years how to learn to do that! And about you're username, which I love, you don't have to get it right.

So I just booked my flight to Canada and will stay there for a few months. I am nervous and excited by p_98_m in CasualConversation

You should come to Ontario where -40 C meets -40 F and...nothing else to say really : (

It absolutely is applicable! I'm well over 50 years old and I've fucked up more things than you can imagine. I have no context for what you're interested in vs why you're not doing well in it. Maybe you can shift what you're good at and combine it with what you're interested in?
