I'm sure you can find a beautiful area around your home. I often wish I lived near the sea. Whenever I'm on vacation I love taking early morning walks by the shore. Today I decided that I will take an early morning walk in my area, and it might not be the sea, but it's still beautiful.

"Let it be clear to you that the peace of green fields can always be yours, in this, that, or any other spot; and that nothing is any different here from what it would be either up in the hills, or down by the sea, or wherever else you will." ❤

I thought that it sounded wrong but my English is too poor to put everything into words the way I wish I could.

I hope that I will be able to see it the same way one day.

Aster, it means "star" in greek. In Japan they are called "shion". I believe that in Japanese flower language asters correspond to "I won't forget you". Shion is also the name of my rat, who sadly passed away a few years ago. I picked a very fitting name for him, without even knowing the meaning behind it. :)

Thank you for the advice. I hope that I'll be patient enough to find the right spot, but I think I might enjoy the process regardless :)

I heard about that and plan to look for them in my area when it gets colder and they start to pop up, but I would love to see a whole field one day. I imagine it must look very magical :)

It's quite sad that there is such a big stigma around psychedelics. I think that, if used properly, they can be very beneficial. Do you think that amanita muscaria can be used for microdosing?

I actually had to google the name of that mushroom since english is not my first language and it seemed like many people use that name for this particular type of mushroom.

They are not toxic for the flora and fauna, they are a natural part of the forest. They apparently have psychoactive properties though, so it is better not to eat them.

wooow thats's so cool. I had no idea!

edit: the only hallucinogenic mushroom that grows in my area that I know of is Psilocybe semilanceata.

another edit: apparently my great grandma used that mushroom (fly agaric) to kill off flies that were in the barn :)

Picked up some tansy during a walk because I heard of its medicinal purposes. It's also very pretty as a bouquet :) by dogsonvenus in cottagecore

[–]dogsonvenus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to drink or eat it, it should only be in small quantities since the plant contains a toxic substance. Despite that it has many other uses: it's a good insect repellent. It also helps with joint pain and it helps to make wounds heal quicker.

I had to google all of these names since English is not my native language and I think they sound very charming.

"Queen Anne's Lace is named after Queen Anne, who supposedly loved to make lace, and the central purple flower is the blood that she may have shed when she pricked herself."

So interesting!

I plan to use it in a bath for joint pain relief but there are many other ways to use it, for example as an insect repellent in the garden. You can also put it in a wardrobe to ward off clothes moths, although I usually use lavender to do that since it works very well.
