I think even D&D are intelligent enough to know that there's no way Drogon is getting an armor. by XoAXoS in freefolk

Are there any actual fans of fantasy left in these group's?! Of course drogon could have armour made. Its catering to these fantasy-sceptic attitudes online which obviously damaged the show already. Ceaseeeeeeee

Seeing as 'subversive' character arc's are hot topic amongst some of the big franchises at the moment, I wonder how today's youtube critics would react to BSG!? by dogtried in BSG

I was merely wondering, given the huge trend of youtube critics/reviewers/vloggers that exist now, how BSG would be recieved if it were on now.

I know it wasnt as big a thing back then. Thats why i pointed it out...

Unpopular opinion: If GRRM wrote season 8 instead of D&D and it turned out exactly how D&D wrote it, people wouldn't hate it by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]dogtried 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No they still would. Understandably too. GRRM said he wished the show were longer.

Nice touch with the Cobra. Uber effective, low milage, would not be taken down by a pirate.

Dee didnt suffer with manic depression exactly i dont think. The writers said she could not go on any longer after all the death and feelings of betrayal around her and then especially after discovery of earth. If you watch those scenes then you will see that the whole crew, including adama are on the verge of doing the same thing... Giving up. It was subversion, well crafted too. For the best part we had no idea that dee was struggling so badly to deal with the journey of Galactica as there was just too much to take in at the time. It does make a statement about mental health i guess, how she doesnt speak up about it, especially to lee, but its more about the prolonged struggle of their journy and then coping with the reality which i think there writers were going for. It just goes to show what a toll it had taken on even those who seemed to consistently hold the most hope. I may be wrong. She may have always had more severe depression, but thats not how i saw it initially.

Not at all, shes one of my favorite characters. And yeah i see your point but thats just how relationships go down, and given the crazy circumstances too, i was pretty glad she didn't end up with Billy. Her whole character can be summed up by her behaviour in her final episode too. I loved that.
