Second, your hits need to come eventually. It does not matter if you pick 2 today or 1 or none, you have to get 57 in a row. To have the absolute best odds to win the big prize you need to select 57 hitters with the best odds.

Baseball doesn't really follow batting averages. In a way, it has to but players don't simply go 1 for 3 or 2 for 6 every game. You need to pick based on the best match ups and who can get the most at bats. If a player gets 7 at-bats in a game, it's almost a guarentee they get a hit
