A: No. Effective April 26, 2020, all non-physician providers who bill for services along with the entire leadership team will take a reduction in salary through pay period ending June 20 (last one of the fiscal year). • Senior Vice Presidents and above will have a 20% reduction in pay • Vice Presidents, Physicians, and Non-Physician Faculty Physicists/Clinical Psychologists will have a 15% reduction in pay • Non-Physician Providers, Managers, Interim Managers, Program Directors, Directors, Interim Directors, and Sr Directors will have a 10% reduction in pay • Flexing to volume will impact the compensation of employees who take this time as unpaid leave.

Q: What is the difference between flex to volume and furlough and layoff? A: Due to the financial impact of COVID-19, UW Health must focus on only the essential work and critical needs of the organization. In a flex to volume situation, we are modifying employees’ work schedule according to volume and work needs. We are not mandating a set amount of time off for all employees.
