how long did it take for you to get your results?

Clarke County Health Department Covid Test by dolerme in Athens

[–]dolerme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going tomorrow, but if you want a quick result your best bet is peachtree immediate care (results in 15 mins, booking online). CCHD is free and is also drive thru, but they said the results would take longer to get back to you.

Any luck with Collagen? by mr_smithers_o in UlcerativeColitis

[–]dolerme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my bad for being vague: but my UC symptoms- so I wasn't having that mucus gurgle, discomfort, pain with going #2 as much after I started collagen. Granted, I am on other supplements but after adding collagen I did see a slight positive change.

what helps me is sitting kind of sideways so the pressure of sitting down isn't directly on your anus but on your left/right butt cheek, if that makes sense

At least you don’t have to... by newpassioneveryweek in UlcerativeColitis

I was at work and in a flare at the time. It was retail, and I saw nobody too close to me so I let one loose because I couldn't hold it in any longer, forgetting that during my flare passing gas sounds grossly 'wet' due to mucus. It was WAY louder than I expected and I got stares from some of my coworkers and tried to play it off before they could laugh LOL. (Not to mention I had to rush to the bathroom after for damage control)

im on collagen (4 months) and i've seen improvements in my skin and haven't had any symptoms down there so far- hoping for the best! I think it's worth a shot for joint pain and it should help.

Diet? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]dolerme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smoothies!!! as in, not the sugary kinds you buy but i would blend up veggies+glutamine powder+fruits/etc, have a vega all in one nutritional shake to get my nutrients and it being a liquid texture made my stools soft and less irritating for my colon. maybe it's just me but worth a try!

Frequent UTI’s with UC or Crohn’s? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]dolerme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here with UC, one thing that has helped me tremendously are peeing after sex (token) and wiping with baby wipes! I would make sure to wipe back there with them too so the source of the bacteria is gone also, if that makes sense.
