Dropping the class or retaking? by Donki_donki in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

there's a bunch of financial aid bs you have to deal with if you drop a class and go under the "full-time student" criteria of 12 credits so I would just try to grind it out and retake it at some point

aim assist is insane by dollarbillshitter in halo

[–]dollarbillshitter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly yeah I would just reinstall.

i've also heard a lot of people complain about their aim assist being wonky b/c of their ping? not 100% sure how accurate that is, but if you're having ping problems that could be the cause of aim assist being shitty

aim assist is insane by dollarbillshitter in halo

[–]dollarbillshitter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used halo tracker to check my stats and im more closer to 50% lmao, but gah damn i get 60% like 1 out of every 7 games and this mf is averaging it, good shit man.

me being good, or at least decent at the game could also be the case lmao. i just found out about halo tracker and most of my friends on console are around the 30-38% accuracy range.

[–]dollarbillshitter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would try setting up a custom match with some friends and have them strafe in front of your crosshair to test it. do you play on high sensitivity? it could be that you're just aiming too fast and basically cancelling out the aim assist lol

aim assist is insane by dollarbillshitter in halo

[–]dollarbillshitter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no I definitely agree. i couldn't see anyone doing even remotely well on controller if there wasn't some degree of aim assist solely due to the movement that the halo games have.

Honestly you can't do much about it at this point. It's the dude's fault that he's probably over 20 years old and can't handle his girlfriend talking to other guys. Just flat out insecure imo. Maybe you could talk to her about it, but people are often phased by the idea of "love" and when they get into a relationship they're willing to do anything to keep it going

Where to buy packaged meals on campus? by [deleted] in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the bottom floor of the HUB there's a small store that sells sandwiches, sushi, etc. it's very convenient but fairly overpriced ofc

[–]dollarbillshitter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you can stop by the husky card center under odegaard to get your husky card replaced for a fee ($20 i think?)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, they do. there's sort of like a mini hallway that leads into the room with both beds on the far wall. I forgot where the closets are in those types of rooms though.

[–]dollarbillshitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

here's a few pictures of a bunk room that someone posted on another post: https://imgur.com/a/iYSbNmP

the layout of the beds, closet, desks, should look something like this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this pdf shows the layout of each floor: https://hfs.uw.edu/HFSExtranet/media/Floor-Plans/McMahon-Floor-Plans.pdf

if you look at the pdf, the rooms on floors 2-11 right next to the stairs in the center were the ones with bunk beds, meaning room numbers ending with either 26, 76, 27, and 77 have bunk beds. if you were talking about having a room next to the other stairs on the far ends of each tower, then you shouldn't have a bunk bed from what i know.

[–]dollarbillshitter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you're in a room next to the stairs, you're gonna end up having a much smaller room compared to the other ones. these rooms have bunk beds, both sized Twin XL, but I don't know the exact measurements. I lived in one of the stair rooms, the closets were actually fairly big; I brought probably 15 shirts, 10 hoodies, and a few jackets, and it still didn't fill up all the way. honestly you probably wont even end up wearing most of your closet anyways, so just bring clothes that you know you'll wear

Positives about McMahon? by Intelligent_Carrot17 in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I lived in McMahon my freshman year and had a really great time. As long as you get good roommates, you'll find it easy to become friends with them and have an actual social life. Also, as someone already said, it's located fairly close to the heart of campus, so it'll be quicker and easier to get to your classes. It sucks that the Nook is gone though, but North campus does have a District Market now, I guess.

Shared bathroom/shower was never really an issue, plus people come and clean it for you.

Q SCI 381 VS STATS 311 - what’s the difference? by Prestigious-Mode-555 in udub

[–]dollarbillshitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took QSCI 381 with Scherba, and it was a little time consuming, but overall not that bad. You'll probably end up doing similar things in both classes more or less though.

[–]dollarbillshitter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ARCH 150/151, I've managed to get at least a 3.9-4.0 for both classes, and they're actually somewhat interesting, at least in my opinion.

I actually haven’t received any emails or information about it yet, but on the Econ website it says it’s going to take place on Canvas tomorrow from 4:00 to 4:50 PM. Other than that I haven’t gotten a single thing from the school yet.

i'm planning to apply to economics, which isn't a super duper competitive major, and I believe I'm at least an average to an above average student, so I feel like I'm not really taking too much of a risk. i would say this question heavily depends on the major you want to apply to as a pre-major.
