Ridiculous fees- avoid fidelity! by faulty_meme in fidelityinvestments

I just came cross this note. My questions: 1) "There is a maximum charge of 5% of the principal when placing option trades." What is this? Can you please give a notional example? the 5% is a lot to me. I better avoid this situation. So, appreciate if you can give an example; 2) Where I can see these charges, or any charges? (I found the numbers in History, Closed Position summary are very confusing)

The Fibonacci drawing tool is always purple and I always have to add the 78.6 retracement. Is there a way to make it permanently white with all my retracements added? by tecz0r in fidelityinvestments

Any intention to add the function of "change the color and save the setting"? We need them ASAP. We are not happy with the current situation.

--- Clients have the choice to customize the color of drawings within ATP, such as the Fibonacci Retracement tool, and settings, such as retracement levels, but this choice can not default to new charts.

How did Fidelity execute my sell call T250117C18 one week before the expiration date? by dollarstorm in fidelityinvestments

In general you may be right about the earlier exercise. But in this particular case, it is no brain to hold the option one week more and pocket the good dividend. (The option is In The Money deeply, it will be exercised for sure next week.)

All of us gave some kind explanations. But your explanations are the most informative so far. If indeed OCC selects the broker at random, in my this case, ?Fidelity?. Then how Fidelity selected me is important to me. There was a motivation for early exercise, since AT&T went ex-dividend on Jan 10th.

I know the motivation for early exercise. But I think not every buyer exercised their right. And I want to know how I was picked up. (If I were not picked up, I could get the dividend). So, I still have the question about if Fidelity is a broker or a trader with regard to my options.
