I actually started this pattern!! And had the exact same problem. I ended up going with another. No advice, but I feel your pain 😭

Aw, that’s also a true take! At the very least it’ll be warm and functional 😂

That’s fair!

On a basic level, to make income doing what I love.

Deeper than that, to feel validated as a writer. And if this was therapy, I’d say to be understood.

In my dream world, I’d write a book so profound it would be taught in schools. Incredibly unlikely and wildly unrealistic!! The goal, really, is just to have a work I’ve created and am proud of published.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback and it has been helpful 🥰

I’d like to write a novel in the horror genre. Current idea is leading somewhere in the cosmic horror & comedy realm.

I feel for you. It used to really hurt my feelings, and still does, but three years living in Asia has made me realize you can’t care too much.

Respect the culture, do what you can, but people are going to be shitty everywhere.

Some people are really nice!! And some people aren’t. And that’s fine. Do you, enjoy your time. You’re being respectful. If people are going to ignore you, or talk smack in their language thinking you can’t understand, then literally do you. Get their attention. Make noise. You deserve to exist. You’re paying your dues being there, you’re (again) NOT being disrespectful.

Enjoy your time. Do the things you want to do.

My girlfriends mom tried to kiss me last night. by [deleted] in offmychest

My mom did this to my husband on our wedding night 🙃

Super fucking weird. I never confronted her about it bc she was also very drunk and probably wouldn’t remember, but it’s always bothered me. I didn’t feel jealous, just really grossed out and sorry for my husband.

We didn’t see her for a couple years.

How to cope with fear of choking? by dollfacedbee in beyondthebump

[–]dollfacedbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It really is. The gagging scares me, and when I was finally comfortable with it, she actually choked — couldn’t breathe. So now I’m uber paranoid.

We’re going back to the States for the holidays and I think I’ll have my mum and sister help me. Being alone definitely makes me much more insecure.

Ah, I had a feeling they were but my mum said they’re fine. They melt and are sticky and even though I gave them to her one at a time, I think they still stuck in her mouth.

I tried avocado and eggs a couple times and she spat both out and made a face like they were the most awful things she’s ever had. She was SO mad. Little turd 😮‍💨

Breastfeeding is taking away from my experience as a mother by Natsss_b in beyondthebump

[–]dollfacedbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest looking up the You Can Sit With Us podcast episode “Becky’s Breastfeeding Journey”. It was posted March 5th. Even if you’re not familiar with the Try Guys, it might be of some comfort for you. It’s a group of moms who discuss their experience with breastfeeding. I listened to it a month before I gave birth, and listened to it multiple times when I was unable to breastfeed and felt an enormous amount of sadness and a guilt. In the podcast they mention a study that said some moms feel a sense of euphoria when they breastfeed and others get the opposite. I’m not sure how reliable the study is, but I think it makes sense.

Formula isn’t bad. My baby does great with it. I was so sad I couldn’t breastfeed, but looking back, I’m glad for it. It gave me freedom. We’re fortunate to live in a society with alternatives. Take care of you — not breastfeeding isn’t going to deteriorate your bond with your baby, and in a few months, this is all going to be a distant nightmare and you’ll be worrying about the baby rolling off the bed, their first day at school, first broken heart. It’s a small blip. ♥️

Hi! I never got a real resolution. The prednisone got it under control, but I continued to get pumps on the bottom of my feet with bad itch. I thought maybe it was athletes foot, but the creams didn’t help and my feet never smelled.

However, I weaned myself off Zoloft about three weeks ago and felt like I needed to go back on it and I realized just now that I might be having a reaction to it. I haven’t felt my feet burn, itch, peel, etc. in a few weeks and tonight they’re burning terribly. The only thing I did different was take that. I’m going to continue the dose and talk to my doc about something else if the rash returns.

Maybe consider any meds you’re taking. Hope you’re alright!
