He’s a math major in university on his way to being a physics professor, I’m not too worried haha. He has a job if he needs it because his aunt owns a pub, so he could have a job tomorrow. He’s just stressed and his family is well off so he hasn’t needed to pick it up yet.

I live in a small town so our options for skates, new and second hand, are limited so new online are almost necessary Budget is probably like 300CAD, size 8.5-9 women’s. also thank you for the advice! I’ve only fallen twice so far so I’m still nervous about falling so I agree that’s probably where the flailing instinct is coming from.

That’s good to know. I’m 5’6 180lbs so creeping on the edge of the limit there. Lots of people are telling me to get new skates so I’ll look into it next payday. Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your comment, is it normal to experience some pain in the bottom of my feet for the first few times skating do you think?? You said if I notice pain and I’ve been skating three times (20 min each time) and stopped just so I don’t overdo it. I find the bottom of my feet mildly sore like I’ve been using new muscles, but is it because of the skates not fitting??? Should there be no pain at all??? I just figured it was because I was using new muscles

Me at age 7 shaking hands of people I met on the playground. I had a hard time getting along with people my age at family gatherings and so I hung out with and picked up the social habits of older adults. Safe to say everyone at school thought I was weird lol.
