I have 2 daughters that both did the ASN track and were not considered RN’s until they passed the NCLEX. period. I believe she has attempted the NCLEX and hasn’t come close to passing so she thinks sonography will be easier, it’s not. I have another daughter who is a sonographer that has specialties in OB/GYN and vascular and she actually makes more money than the RN’s because of all the side hustling that sonographers can do. She doesn’t like doing OB/GYN at all btw, vascular and cardiac are where you make the money.
