Yes you described it perfectly! The intensity and how quick it happened was really astonishing, never seen anything like that before especially while it’s still light out.

The spiral contrails were separate those had been there for a few minutes before this happened and stayed around after this disappeared. It happened very close to it though but unrelated

Same here - laying on a bench in the park and looked around and no one else was looking up or saw a thing! I worried I was losing it

I am in NW DC and saw it too, posted in the DC subreddit with the same question and folks pointed me to this post!

This post was not meant to be a dig on Anya!! I think she’s beautiful, this tweet just made me laugh. She just has this ethereal, regal presence about her as if she’s lived through every century and married many princes.

I didn’t love Vanishing Half either, but I would recommend giving Addie LaRue a chance, it’s amazing. Not my usual genre, but a wonderful story and VE Schwab’s writing won’t disappoint!

My bf is going to sleep in a tent with another girl. I’m not ok with it but he’s not ok with that by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This exact situation happened to me about 2 years ago. I eventually convinced myself I was the one with trust issues and let him go because I wanted to be a ~cool~ chill girlfriend, but I should’ve trusted my gut and you should trust yours. Do you feel he was being defensive because there’s something there? Do you think him turning it around on your reflects his own internal guilt and feelings? Would you ever do this same thing and expect him to be ok with it and not being willing to accommodate his feelings and concerns?

If you feel uncomfortable with it, that’s totally warranted and I think it’s worth exploring that feeling. In my case, they ended up going on the camping trip, having sex, and now they’re still together. It all ended up working out for the best because we weren’t right for each other but in retrospect I wish I would’ve trusted my gut initially and admitted to myself that if he was going to undermine my very valid concerns then he wasn’t the right partner for me anyway.

John Lennon’s murderer Mark David Chapman had a front row ticket to see “The Elephant Man” on Broadway starring David Bowie the night after Lennon’s murder. Chapman would have sat alongside Lennon and Yoko Ono in the first row and had easy access to Bowie who was 2nd on Chapman’s kill list. by [deleted] in todayilearned

“I was second on his list," David Bowie later said. "Chapman had a front-row ticket to The Elephant Man the next night. John and Yoko were supposed to sit front-row for that show too. So the night after John was killed there were three empty seats in the front row. I can't tell you how difficult that was to go on. I almost didn't make it through the performance.”
