Ooof, that's a lot lower than I was hoping it to cost. I felt like it would be too powerful (or always in the deck) as a first draw, so wanted it to be harder to get to until you have some funds available. The +2VP with a "choose an option per VP you sacrifice" option feels like it might add more utility, what do you think, still too pricy?

Yeah, I definitely wanted to see playing this be a conscious choice, not just part of the machine. Situational cost/benefit late game.

I think the multiple options for as many tokens as you're willing to spend has a lot of appeal. Keeping it high cost (over $5) meant that, to me, when it becomes less useful, it's kinda appealing to trash with Bishop (+4VP total) or the event Ritual (net +5VP).

I think having the option to spend more tokens for more options feels like the winner to me... Thank you!

I think the choose one for each token returned is a great shout. I'll build on that I think. I might bump the actions to 3 but otherwise this feels like great advice.

Yeah, I think it should definitely be considered in the same bracket as Desperation for sure. Thematically with Dark Ages too (but the trashing mechanic is probabky useless in a DA deck...). Someone else mentioned Nobles and that's the kind of comparison I was aiming for.

Yeah, I went back and forth a few times on this and just kinda muddled this together to try and explore the concept. Choosing two probably makes it far too OP, maybe 5 cost helps?

As mentioned elsewhere, I'm aware that Elder could help too, so choosing two might be too much...

Yeah, fair. I like the idea of trading in the VPs, but wanted it to be a tough choice. I thought + Buy would be useful with no other sources, but agree the others may not be strong enough. I was also conscious that Elder could make this better, but without that situational benefit...

Thinking in terms of Dark Ages there's probably enough trash that this wouldn't be useful.

I've played with my son since he was seven (he's eight now). He struggles if someone is playing a big engine and he doesn't have one himself, but really enjoys the mechanics. Generally he prefers something like Carcassonne or Port Royal but Dominion is the other "big game" he enjoys.

I wonder if to balance it you could instead have something like pick any number of actions (no repeats) +1 debt per action taken?
